Description

The average woman executive leaves up to $1 million on the table over the course of her working life by not knowing how much she is worth, and by not asking for what she deserves. Add in the fact that women are less confident than men when it comes to financial literacy – regardless of their level of education or socioeconomic levels – and it’s no wonder women have distinct financial risks not currently being addressed in traditional financial planning. And, because women are far more likely than men to take time away for raising children, caring for elderly parents, or other responsibilities related to their personal lives, they typically end of up with less money than men to fund their goals.

As an advisor to top-earning female executives, business owners, and attorneys, Bridget Venus Grimes, CFP® knows the biggest obstacles that stand in the way of women executives trying to live their ideal life. She also knows that traditional financial planning underserves and even fails women executives. In her new book, Corner Office Choices: The Executive Woman’s Guide to Financial Freedom (Lioncrest Publishing, July 16, 2018), Grimes shares her unique approach to financial, career, and life planning for women executives. She addresses the four key derailers specifically for this target audience and the incremental steps they can take to live the life they are working so hard to achieve.

Featured Reviews

This is a book tailored for women who work in the financial industry and want to set a plan of action to overcome their financial anxiety and a career that will pay for the life you want. The best and most helpful part of the book is the author’s approach and detail in creating a financial plan and a career plan to match your financial goals. The author spends a lot of time explaining how to strategically plan your career and ways to avoid getting derailed from your goals. Specifically, Grimes suggests finding the best career that matches your lifestyle. I would highly suggest this book to a woman in the financial field.
