Description

When his boyfriend is murdered, Erick Lee makes it his life's mission to hunt down the killer. The question is, how far is he willing to go to catch him?

Erick has been asked to team up by a dangerously captivating hitman who has reasons of his own to want this man dead. But can he trust another killer? And do two wrongs ever make a right?

Everett "Tarr" Hawk isn't just some lethal hitman. He has his own code of honor. With Erick and Tarr facing a common enemy, it's only by combining forces that they'll survive. But Tarr's code doesn't include a fierce attraction for someone he's sworn to defend with his life. Because in Tarr's world, every night presents a new danger . . . and listening to his own heart could get them both killed.

I didn't like Roarke, except in his save the day mode, but I liked Erick immediately, so I was delighted when I got to read this novella's ARC.

As you can see by the stars given, I wasn't disappointed. What a pair... I'm not sure I could've thought up a less likely love interest for Erick! Or for Tarr, for that matter. I wish Erick had gotten a whole novel, but I'm happy with the way this romance came together, and that is the point of a romance, after all.

I am a huge fan of Megan Erickson's Wired & Dangerous deries and could not wait for Erick's story. We learned a lot about him from Roarke and Jock's book and his connection with Tarr from the last book could not be denied. I enjoyed this fast paced and adrenaline pumping story and loved the chemistry between Erick and Tarr!

Erick Lee was never expecting to feel something for another person ever since his boyfriend was murdered by hitmen. But after he was was saved by another hitman, Everett "Tarr" Hawk at the end of book two, he was now consumed and hung up on finding out what Tarr's motivations were. It went against everything be believed about mercenaries for hire so his growing interest and attraction was something he needed to reconcile.

All in alI I really loved finding out more about Erick's relationship with Flynn and delving deep into the closed off and broody Tarr's head. The attraction between them was palpable and I was hooked from the very first page. Erick was funny and sarcastic which was a fun bonus. I really enjoyed this story and seriously need more in this series!

I would like to thank Netgalley and Forever Rkmance for an advanced copy of this look for an honest review! Bravo! 4 stars! ~Ratula
