Xorran is a famed tracker and sent to find two human females that were kidnapped by the Outcasts’ enemy. He finds Sara and her new pet and as they search for Heather sparks begin to fly. Will they bond or will Sara opt to leave? Fast-paced read with loads of drama and suspense. Great characters and plenty of steam that really draw you in and take you to another world. I really liked it!

Sara does not want to stay. Sure she is healthy but she was kidnapped. Okay they are nice enough guys and she was off to a mating programme but things have spiralled outwith her control and that is not Sara!

She doesn't want to meet her matches. When she meets Xorran she is a bit conflicted. He is hot, muscled and protective but if he means staying on the planet then she s staying far away from him!

Xorran doesn't know if Sara is one of his matches of not, he hasn't bothered to check his results! He wants Sara to want him not the possible DNA match they may have. But when she gets kidnapped he sees an opportunity to become her hero. But before he can swoop to the rescue Sara essentially rescues herself and brings along a battle kitten with her!

Sara just wants Heather to be rescued from the xenophobic, misogynistic Elf who has her in his sights. She also needs to look after a battle cat or she will have his Mistress take it out of her skin!

Great story and a quick read for me. I loved meeting Arrista and the poor girl needs deprogrammed! I don't quite know what to make of the battle cat mistress - i can't decide if she is evil or misunderstood LOL. Xorran is hot and attentive and possessive without being oppressive. Sara is no damsel in distress, more kickass in a dress!

Two different cultures who are still coming to understand each other and learn a new environment encounter yet another culture who meets their presence with hostility. After Sara is taken by the indigenous people, her captivity with them leads her to learn a great deal about their socio-political system. Though meeting just a few people, those she interacts encompass a diverse range of personalities (as one would expect). While the factions within this society fight for their own agendas, the opportunity for her main captor to protect herself as well as letting Sara go appears. Sara has to leave Heather behind and in danger, but at least she can help negotiate her release. She's also entrusted with the welfare of an adorable and precious furry cutie! (Who is really the star of this book :) )

Action and snags ensue amid caring for this adorable if not sometimes hostile battlecat. When the opportunity to return home appears, Sara's compassion for the battlecat and saving Heather make her have to delay her plans. Her growing fondness for Xorran throws an even bigger wrench in her original plan. While Xorran and Sara bond, Sara and the battlecat begin to bond, forming a link between them that Sara never could have expected. Meanwhile, Xorran is there to help her with all of this, not being pushy with his own agenda, but has a genuine concern for her well-being and desires.

Sara's character is well established and grows in a realistic way. Her compassion for others is what drives her actions and feelings above all else. She's one who needs to take action and be involved, rather than sitting on the sidelines waiting for what she needs. The story line is one that keeps your attention, as it reveals more about these new cultures, the people within them, and how they react to being thrown into an entirely new situation among others different from them. And of course, the antics of the baby battlecat are absolutely endearing!

I love this series. I love the idea of mates and forming soul bonds. This was not your typical alien man. He was alpha but jnew when to be sweet and he wasnt arrogant like the other men in the book. It was a sweet story with elements of suspense and action. Its part of a larger atoryline that moves from book to book but each romance is separate. I cant wait to read the next in the series.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Anything but Ordinary Books for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is the 3rd book in the series, and I have not read the others. Needless to say I was a bit overwhelmed with names and locations as this is set on another world. If you can muddle through that then the story itself is cute. I loved battle cats! I found Heather to be a whiner. Sara and Xorran were likeable and a good fit. I rate it a 3.5. Maybe better if read in order so it wouldn't be so overwhelming.

This was nice a simple sifi romance. The book wasn't that long so it was a good weekend read, but the story didn't feel rushed as bad great characters.

I found this book to be riveting. Sara is an abducted human struggling with her capture. Her interaction with the Outcasts is often humorous and always a treat. She gives as good as she receives in the sass department. I am truly fascinated with the battle cats. What complex creatures they are. I highly recommend this book. I hated putting it down.
