My Recommendation

We are always on the lookout for new self-help or even books about straight happiness and Living The Simply Luxurious Life definitely caught my attention when searching for those books. People dream to live the life of luxury but our mindsets are programmed to live a stressful life because of all the drama and workload that piles up in our everyday life. This book taught me that the only person letting the work load pile up is you. If all the tasks on your to-do list were completed right when they are assigned then good bye stress and hello luxury.

My Recommendation

Shannon Ables with Living The Simply Luxurious Life has provided us with a beautiful way of looking at life. From "Elevating the Quality of What You Consume" to "Don't Give the Past Power" - she truly captures what it means to live a Simple, Luxurious life. 

What really drew me to this book was her blog. I have stumbled on it a few times and take pleasure in perusing her posts here and there. However, I never took the time to actually READ it. Now, I most definitely will. The thing is, she helped me regain my love of Bend, OR. I have lived here since 2013. And when I moved to Bend, I was moving for simplicity - away from my Los Angeles upbringing. Away from toxicity to a smaller, more focused life. 

I didn't pick up this book expecting it to contain any new information on living a better life. I chose it because it aligns with my values and my way of living. I don't choose what I read based on what new information I will learn - I choose it based off of what I think I would enjoy. And Shannon Ables catered to that desire.

Living The Simply Luxurious Life is definitely one I will be purchasing for my shelves. What a delightful read that I have the pleasure of recommending.
