For the first 16 pages the leading character bounces around like a pinball from place to place, trying to figure out who she is and where she is. Then someone calls her by name and she meets a man she doesn’t recognize who offers to take her home to her place – it seems she lives in an apartment below him.

Sheila Lowe’s wordsmithing creates a heart stopping narrative as Jenna tries to bluff her way through work and an appointment with her therapist. Then she discovers
she has two identities: Jenna and/or Jessica complete with a driver’s license, an apartment and a car for each.

This riveting account follows Jenna, or Jessica, depending on where she is and who she’s with at the time, as she tries to sort out just who she really is and what happened to cause the amnesia she is experiencing.

The puzzle Ms. Lowe constructs is carefully filled, piece by piece as suspense builds. And finally, the picture emerges complete, much to the reader’s relief.

A new twist on the familiar amnesia story, which are my favorite. This thriller is chock-full of juicy goodness. It was easy to identify with Jenna as she tried to discover who she was and what happened to her by pretending she knows. The appearance of old friends from the author's Claudia Rose mysteries add an extra touch too. I can't wait for the second book!
