Until she reports for duty that morning and finds she'll be working with her high school crush, Chase Calder, who broke her heart.

Maybe she should be past the fact that the boy she'd fallen in love with had kissed her on a dare then disappeared, but she's definitely not over it.

This book is so good! It is a wonderful story about overcoming your past and getting a second chance at love and life. This is a book that will think about long after you finish it. This is a new-to-me author and I loved how she wove God's love through out the story. Thank you BooksGoSocial via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. This is my honest opinion and look forward to reading more books by this author.

Evergreen Island, small village, all the people know each other.
Ruby is the daughter of the Pastor of the church: nice, kind, help others.
Chase is the son of the sherif: troubled, active.
the story is beautiful, so realistic, nice characters and world building, fast to read, enjoy!

Chase and Ruby's story is one of redemption, grace, and forgiveness. Often Christian romance books are cheesy or the characters are full of immaturity and dopey behaviors, instead, Destined to Love is full of forgiving, kind characters who exemplify what it is to be a Christian. You see people who prematurely judge but are able to see their wrong. You also see people who choose to love.

I found this story to meet me at the right time. It's easy to hold on to hate and grief but the reminders to listen to God's voice and LOOK are precisely what I needed.

The book is easy to read with flowing language and a fairly developed story. I rooted for everyone.

I was hoping the epilogue would have more information on a supporting character's health and check-in with dad and gramps.

Overall, I recommend this book to anyone wanting a pure love story that focuses on redemption.

DESTINED IN LOVE is the third novel in the Finding Love Medical series by ROSE VERDE. It is a delightful romance novel with a medical theme and a really good Christian message.
When "bad boy" Chase Calder comes back to his home town as a qualified doctor, there is a great deal of hostility towards him. With the unforgiving attitude of the people who knew him, we are reminded of what Jesus said to those accusing the woman of adultery, "let him who has no sin cast the first stone"! He has changed, due to a very real encounter with the Lord, and his grandfather's prayers, but he doesn't advertise the fact as he wants people to see the change in him for themselves.
Ruby Campbell, the girl he humiliated so badly before he left, is also a doctor and they are now working together in private practice.
It is a story of repentance, forgiveness and listening to God's voice. It is altogether a most enjoyable read.
I was given a free copy of the book by NetGalley from BooksGoSocial. The opinions in this review are completely my own.

I enjoyed this book because it had a good plot. The characters were likeable and easy to relate to. He was a bad boy who was helped by a friendly intelligent girl. He took a bet to dance with her but then he ignores her and leaves the area. He returns and romance eventually blossoms to show opposites do attract.

Destined in Love is the third book in the Finding Love Medical Romance series but can be read as a standalone. It tells the story of the Ruby Campbell—preacher’s kid and overall good girl—and Chase Calder—resident bad boy. Twelve years ago he broke her heart but now he’s back as a doctor and working in close proximity to her.

Did he change from the boy who humiliated her by kissing her because of a dare? Is he now playing for keeps? Destined in Love is a clean read with strong Christian faith elements. You witness through the characters the redemptive love of Jesus and the change He wants to make in the life of every person.

I enjoyed Chase’s character. He was a bad boy sure but he was truly repentant of his actions and did what he could to make amends. He also leaned into his relationship with his Heavenly Father for help and hope when he needed it. The townspeople were a little harder to love but they represent us and the way we respond to anyone who doesn’t behave the way we do.

Thanks to NetGalley for an ARC. A positive review was not required.

I really enjoyed this totally clean Christian based story. The most you will get are a few kisses here and there. But the story, the core itself is solid. There is scripture quoted but not something to send you running or bore you. So, no fear there.
This is a friendship crush from high school that went sideways. Chase is the sheriff's son of the small island and the bad boy with a rep for trouble. The thing is he was wickedly smart except for one subject so he got Ruby his secret crush to tutor him.
Even with glasses and shyness, he thought she was beautiful. But being the preacher's daughter he never stood a chance. So, when the guys dared him to kiss him by prom he took the bet. But once he got to know her, he really wanted to kiss her so didn't want to kiss for the reason the guys would egg him on to do.
At prom, he fulfills the bet crushing any chance with Ruby ripping both their hearts out. Now, twelve years later, Chase returns to help one of the pals who egged him on, Ethan. He and Ruby have a private where they need an extra MD to help. That would be him.
Ruby is not happy when it is sprung on her. As she reports to work. Twelve years, gone then "Wow, I'm back and hey, I'm a doctor!" Chase came back to make amends to the people he harmed and give back to the island.
Chase has to reveal his secrets to Ruby, the town, and to himself also. He is allowed happiness and I believe Ruby has always been in God's plan.

Chase was the town bad boy and twelve years ago his father the sheriff threw him out of his home and he left town Imagine the towns surprise when he returns as a doctor ready to work at the towns clinic. Ruby works at that clinic she was the one person who believed in him all those years ago and he was the one that hurt her the most when he went ahead with a dare that he knew was wrong. Will the town forgive him Will Ruby forgive him and will he have a chance at the love with Ruby that he has always wanted. This is wonderful story about second chances and always been willing to try again.

This is the third book in this series. It focuses on bad boy, Chase Calder, who has grown up, found God, and returned to the island he grew up on to make amends for his past and to help a friend in his clinic.
It is also a beautiful love story between Chase and the preacher's daughter, Ruby Campbell, who he hurt on a dare back in high school. It was fun to watch the two main characters deny their feelings toward each other twelve years later. It was also interesting to see how much the islanders were not willing to believe a bad boy in his teens could turn out to be a loving, caring doctor who had found God and turned his life around with the help of his grandfather. Great story in a great series! I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

Ruby Campbell had always been a good girl. She was the preacher's daughter and lived on Evergreen Island. She wanted to be a doctor when she grew up because she wanted to help people. During her senior year, she had helped bad boy, Chase Calder. She continually reminded him that he had lots of potential. He never studied or did his homework but got good grades but everyone was sure he would never amount to anything. On prom night, Chase had kissed Ruby and then his friends announced that he had kissed her on a dare, which was true, but Ruby meant something to Chase but he could never admit that he really had feelings for her. He had a bad boy reputation to protect.

Chase's father was the sheriff of Evergreen Island and his father was convinced that he did drugs and was headed down a bad path. He kicked him out of his house at midnight and told him never to come back. Chase left and now, twelve years later, he was back to help a friend. Chase was was now a doctor and his friend, Ethan, needed his help in his private practice. What he didn't know was that Ruby was the other doctor in the practice. Would she ever be able to forgive Chase for humiliating her and then leaving town? Would Chase be able to win her heart again or would the hurt he caused her forever threaten the possibility of ever having a meaningful relationship with the only woman he had ever loved?

This was a sweet, clean romance with a lot of Christian thoughts thrown in. Normally, I don't really care for "preachy" romances but this one was done well. I love a clean romance without descriptive sex or foul language but with a heavy dose of real emotion and chemistry. This book delivers on both. I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest review.
