This was such a cute children's book and I feel it is an important one to read to our children. It follows two girls, Livi and Grace who are sisters/best friends but they are extrmely different from one another. Livi is more quiet and reserved and Grace is spunky and loud. They each have their own unique styles, but despite their differences they remain just as close. They are able to appreciate one another because of their differences.
I adored this book and will be picking up a physical copy.

This is a truly beautiful book which will be enjoyed by adults and children alike. The book celebrates difference and individuality in a unique, beautiful and inspiring way. The illustrations are bright and engaging. The words are rhythmic and fluid. A really fabulous book.

My girl doesn´t have a sister, sadly...neither do I. Yes, very, very sad, I know... That is why I like this book the most, because we always look different from one another, inside and out. There is not another girl like us, not even one biological sister around. Sisters are different as the author shares with so much grace.

I think this book is made with so much accurateness about how girls may differ in many things but they can still be friends. We were laughing together and having so much fun while we were finding things we were like Liv and Grace, and others very different, and how our friends are different as well.

The illustration is beautiful, my girl wanted to draw some copies inspired by the ones she saw (a little artist in my house, she is 8). I think this will be a great gift for some of her very different friends, so they can enjoy who they are, just the way God made them.

One of my goals on vacation is to read one book per day with her, way to go mom! we invite you to do the same!, so prepare!

This book is simple and the colors are good and vibrant. I like that my four year old daughter enjoyed the colorful pictures. As for the story, it was simple and well delivered. The lesson was clear and easy to understand.

I loved this children's book. It's very cute and a great way to introduce the concept of individualism and acceptance to children.

Grace murmurs, "Stars are beautiful, like tiny flicks of flame." Livi answers, "There are billions, and no two are just the same."

My sister and I are very different and as such I loved the message of this book. Those differences should be celebrated and applauded with no value attached.

While a wonderful message for children, it's a great reminder for adults as well!

Thanks to Jennifer Lynch, Greenleaf Book Group and NetGalley for giving me this digital ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Livi & Grace........ What an adorable book with a beautiful message. I loved the vibrant use of color for the illustrations.

This story is a celebration of individuality and all of the attributes that make us different.

Thanks NetGalley & Greenleaf Book Group for the ARC.

This is a short book that is in verse. The story is about sisters Grace and Livi who are different from, but value, one another. It provides a gentle reminder that being siblings does not mean that you are, or should be, the same. It is a sweet early reader.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this e book galley. All opinions are my own.

One note: The illustrations, other than the cover, did not come through on my galley. I imagine that they are comical and lively based on the cover picture.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for a copy of this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Livi and Grace are two sisters who are wonderfully and completely different, where one is poised the other is queen spunk. The best part is the accept each other for they are, and appreciate the other qualities their sister brings to their lives.

Cute and easily classroom and home usable.

My main complaint would be the writing. I didn’t love some of the disjointed rhyming.. a bit of it felt forced, off rhythm, and just clunky. The message is cute and relatable and I can see siblings/families especially appreciating this.

Shoutout to my awesometastic big sis— this story matched us well!

What a sweet story about appreciating that which makes each person unique and special. I, myself, can relate to Grace in that I remember wearing my skates in the house too - I believe I was pretending to be ice skating as I watched the winter Olympics. The pictures in the book are charming. The only part I slightly had trouble reading or viewing was when there was white text against the green grass. I think the swirls in the grass helped make it a bit more of a challenge to see, but every page has different text and background colors, so this issue didn't last long at all. Great book and great message.

Livi &Grace was a cute rhyming book about two very different sisters. They enjoyed each other’s company and embraced their differences. It was what made them special and unique.

This was a good story to help young children understand that being different is okay and everyone is special in their own way. I think young children with enjoy the rhyming format along with the beautiful illustrations that projected the differences in a very colorful way-attracting the attention of young readers.
Highly Recommended!

Cheerful, colorful, engaging picture book about two sisters with different interests and personalities. Positive message about being true to yourself and told in a rhyme.

This rhyming picture book is a love letter to the differences in two sisters, Livi and Grace. Full of bright, cheerful, and detailed illustrations, it is a good lap-sit book for families to read together. However, it is devoid of a storyline plot, so could be difficult to incorporate in storytimes, and might not keep the interest of beginning, independent readers. Overall, a happy, wholesome, worthwhile children's book.

Livi & Grace might be shared anywhere that kids get together. It is not just a book for sisters.
The illustrations are colorful, creative and altogether lovely!

I received an electronic ARC from Greenleaf Book Group through NetGalley.
Livi and Grace are sisters. They love each other deeply and celebrate now different they are. Lynch shares what each sister likes and weaves their styles together as they interact.
The message of being unique and true to yourself comes through clearly for young readers.
Brightly colored illustrations offer further examples of how the sisters are unique.

Loved this! Great message of 2 sisters who are different but equally special in their uniqueness. The quick rhyming style is great to hold children's interest and the vivid colors and imagery are fantastic!

I could not fully enjoy this book as I struggled to get it to download completely onto either of my devices. However, I am still giving it 5 stars and do intend to purchase a copy to share with my students just based on the adorable illustrations that I could interpret (though I couldn't read the words) and the wonderful notes from Livi and Grace at the end.

The idea of everyone being an individual and accepting others as well as yourself is an extremely important lesson to teach. I think that by showing these two characters who "should be" alike, but who are quite unique demonstrates this idea clearly. And the fact that despite, or maybe because of, these differences, they are the best of friends.

I am really looking forward to having the entire book in my hands to enjoy. I expect that I will be sharing this story for years to come.

Livi and Grace are two sisters who are completely different, with one very poised, while the other is Miss Confidence with an attitude.. They accept each other for who they are, and like the qualities that each sister brings to their lives. Lovely illustrations, with loosely rhyming verse. The vocabulary seemed a bit more advanced than the illustrations might indicate.

Very useful title for classroom, would work well as a read-aloud, and should generate a great discussion in any setting.

Such a sweet book about two sisters who couldn't be more different. This story helps children appreciate and even admire differences in others while keeping the concept simply and fun. This could be read to children in classrooms as well to help them understand that they can have friends who are not carbon copies of themselves.

This is a delightful picture book for any siblings, not just sisters. I saw so much of Livi and Grace in my two daughters, sisters who love each other but are very different. Beautiful words accompanied by beautiful illustrations, I can definitely see myself buying 2 copies and having the girls each write a note to the other one and gifting them to each other. Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the ARC.

Livi and Grace are sisters who have contrasting personalities. Whilst Livi characterized as a girl with a calm and composed demeanor, Grace is portrayed as a zestful girl who loves making merry. The Illustrations couldn't have been better and the character sketches totally reflect their inner self. It's colorful, vivid, cute, and most certainly, eye-popping. The message that is conveyed is very straightforward and doesn't really require an adult to educate the child on the theme any further. Kids would have no problem in grasping the values and messages. By juxtaposing the two characters, the author articulates the importance and beauty of embracing our own self no matter how much we differ from the people around us.

A short, sweet story of sisters who act and feel things opposite of the other yet expect nothing different as that’s just the way they are. Simple. Great graphics too.
I received an arc from NetGalley in exchange for my honest and volunteer review.

Thank you to NetGalley for the Advanced Reader's Copy of this book. I received this in exchange for my honest review.

I loved this book. I have two girls that are exact opposites. This is a great story about accepting other people's differences and celebrating everyone's own uniqueness. Definitly recommend this book to any and all parents. This is a great one for entering Kindergarten before children meet all sorts of different and unique individuals.

This is a cute story about two sisters who are very different from one another. It is only 13 pages long so easy to read to the little ones. It reinforces that we all don't have to be the same to love each other and enjoy one another's company.

This should be in your child's library!

What a lovely story of hope, joy, and acceptance. It features Lynch's daughters, Olivia and Grace. The two girls are sisters and best friends, but they are completely different from each other. This is a book of acceptance of differences and of love that recognizes that the other person is just as valuable despite being different from you. You can be you, your own unique self, and there will always be someone who will treasure you, who will celebrate who you are.

Livi and Grace feel mystified that people feel that they should be the same because they are sisters. The reality is that they consider themselves and each other to be special in their own way--they are who they are, and they feel free to be who they are because they are confident that they are loved for who they are. What makes these girls so happy with themselves and each other? It's a secret: "Our differences are beautiful--they're blessings through and through. There's no one way that's best to be, so be the you that's you!"

I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own - and well - my four year old daughters.

Livi and Grace, written by Jennifer Lynch, is a fun and colourful story. It tells the story of sisters, Livi and Grace and shows not only how different they are, but how special and unique they are. It teaches kids that no matter how different you are, liking different things, you can still be best friends.

I would highly recommend this book.

Absolutely brilliant.

I love the illustrations and that it rhymes, I find books that rhyme very exciting.

I adore both Livi and Grace, they are unique and beautiful but in different ways. They are very likeable. Livi is very organised and practically perfect and Grace is wacky and carefree. “No two are just the same”

There bond is wonderful to read and it feels you with such happiness.

I applaud Jennifer for reaching out to children who feel lesser than another or embarrassed because they are different. The Whole book is filled with positivity, but the last 4 pages are so wonderfully brilliant.

I can’t wait to read this book with my 6 year old daughter, I hope this story enlightens her and makes her feel that it’s okay to be different. We are all wonderfully unique and that’s okay.

I will most definitely be recommending this book on Goodreads and Amazon and anywhere else I can.

Thank You so much for creating this fantastic, uplifting story.

Livi & Grace is a wonderful children's book about celebrating differences and the gifts that make us each unique. An excellent story to read to young children who are struggling to be proud of their own gifts and who they are.

This is, by far, the best children's book I have read and reviewed in awhile! The artwork is stunning throughout and the story is beautiful!

Livi & Grace are sisters but have very different personalities. Livi is proper and elegant while Grace is wild and crazy. They realize they are very different from each other but still love each other dearly and share a special bond together. While some assume they must be similar since they are sisters, they know that they can each be special and unique while still being close sisters. The prose through the story is so beautiful worded and the book really teaches kindness and love. While it may not be a sibling that is different from us that we acknowledge for their true self and love, we can give this kind of love and kindness to every one!

The Story:
Sisters Livi and Grace could not be more different from one another. Grace is carefree and loves splashing in puddles while Livi always wants things done just right. But the one thing they have in common is that they love and respect each other’s uniqueness.

Favourite Spread:
Missi Jay has created some wonderful illustrations that showcase both the sisters differences (from their facial features and dress sense to their likes and dislikes). At the end of the book are two letters to the reader, one from Grace and one from Livi*, each written and illustrated in their own unique way – this perfectly sums up the magic of this book.

The Verdict:
This book surprised me with its fun rhymes and beautiful message. I loved it.

*In her author profile, it states “Jennifer Lynch lives with the real Livi and Grace in Austin, Texas.” So I’m guessing the letters at the end were written by her children – what a fabulous touch and fitting end to this wonderful book.

This book reminded me of my Granddaughter (only child) and her Best Friend. Though they are not sisters like Livi and Grace, Granddaughter is shy and withdrawn and Best Friend is outgoing and loud. Livi and Grace could not be more different. They were sisters but different, in looks, actions and everything else. But the one thing they had in common was they loved each other. I really like the way the girls are illustrated. They are very likeable and cute. I am so happy to see books that encourage differences. I recommend this book for children 5+.

Being one of 4 girls in my family, I can definitely identify with Livi and Grace. I was so different from my siblings that most people didn't even realize I was their sister. I love the message in this book. It is a cute story about appreciating the differences in people, especially siblings. Each difference makes a person special and unique and should be celebrated and nurtured. In this picture book, Livi and Grace are sisters who couldn't be more different. Livi is neat and tidy and loves tea parties. Grace is wild and playful and loves being active and busy. With all their differences, they are still best of friends and love one another. The illustrations in the book are wonderful, each one large, vivid and bright. Each page has a different text and background with a couple of them being a bit difficult to read. The rhyming story had a good cadence which made reading this one aloud quite easy and enjoyable. My grandchildren enjoyed this story and my grandson was very quick to point out that he and his sister are like Livi and Grace. I totally agree with him. Overall this is a great book with a wonderful message of appreciating what makes others special and unique, but also loving what is special about yourself as well. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book upon my request. The rating, ideas and opinions shared are my own.
