The Heart of a Tempest is a very exciting story of Keelen and Landon. Beginning with sword fights, going on to a horrible storm, to a ball. This story pretty much has it all! Not necessarily a Christian story, even though it was listed in that genre, it has swear words and explicit scenes, although they aren't terribly bad, they are descriptive. Over all, I enjoyed the story and can't wait for the next story! This is book one of the series.

Keelan Grey dressed as a young boy and was strained in the art of swordsmanship each morning by one of the plantation servants. One morning, while training, two men approached and "assisted" in the training. Only after training was completed and she was running back to the main house, did she let it be know that she was a woman and not a young boy by letting her long red curls down.
Captain Landon Hart was mesmerized by the red-headed beauty and her fiery spirit. In order to keep her secret, he demanded a kiss. The kiss was like nothing either of them had ever experienced before. In her mind, Captain Hart was arrogant and a womanizer. Her mother had convinced her to stay away from seafaring men because they could never be trusted to be faithful.
Keelan's father was dying and he was determined to have her married. Keelan was determined to only ever marry for love but she had to get out of the arranged marriages that her father was determined to insist upon. She couldn't stop thinking about the amazing kiss that she had shared with Landon Hart. Would she ever be able to have a passionate love with someone like him. If only he was a seaman. . .
This is the first book I have read by this author but I am looking forward to continuing the story of these two. Normally, I don't like books that don't resolve the story in one book but I think I would enjoy following this series.
This was the clean version of this story. There was definitely chemistry between Landon and Keelan, something that was missing from any of the other interactions Keelan had with the other men in her life. I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest review.
