If you're looking for a way to freshen up an otherwise ho-hum prayer life, pick up a copy of Janice Thompson's book, 180 Prayers to Change the Word (for Adults). It's a clever companion to the kids' version by the same name.
The book offers 180 days of prayer topics with each entry including a scripture, a prayer, and a practical idea for impacting the world in a positive way. Topics include everything from "Paying it Forward" and "Unconditional Love" to "Iron-Sharpening Friendships" and "If They Have Not Heard." Yo'u'll find 180 days' worth of creative and practical prayer prompts as well as ways to put your faith into practice. You won't be sorry with this inspiring book that promises to take your prayer life to a new level.
Note: I received a copy of the book from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for this honest review. However, the opinions expresed are entirely my own.

Invest and pray
Janice Thompson is the author of a variety of books (Christian romances, devotionals,...). Her main statement in her book "180 Prayers to Change the World (for Adults)", published by Barbour Publishing, is that one can make a difference in praying - "because God can use you to make a difference for eternity." Every one fo the 180 entrances is listed under a pertinent topic, includes a scripture from the Bible, the prayer itself an and idea under the title "Be the Change", that challenges the readers to put into practice what the have read and prayed about.
The book contains a scripture index at the end, but it does not have a table of content that lists the various prayers (for this I will only give 4,5 stars and not five stars). It is great that Thompson also published an edition for children (180 Prayers to Change the World (for Kids)).
I recommend the book for readers who need a creative impulse for their prayer life and are willing to invest themselves to impact the world. The 180 prayers are sufficient so that the readers will not consider the book boring when they restart to use it after having finished it the first time around.
The complimentary copy of this book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley free of charge. I was under no obligation to offer a positive review. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
#180PrayerstoChangetheWorldForAdults #NetGalley

This is a book that is perfect for helping to focus prayers. The content is Biblically based and allows the reader to apply Scripture to his/her life. As a bonus, particular suggestions are given that provide particular action steps that allow the reader to make a difference in their community and the world beyond. I do not recommend reading this book straight through as the content is so full ideas that it could bog the reader down. But I think that it is a perfect personal devotional. Reading an excerpt each week in a Sunday school class would also be a great idea. I did review this book through #netgalley, but the strong recommendation is my own opinion!

Book is presented with a Bible verse, prayer and a suggestion on how to apply it to your life. This book has all in one. Inspirational. Thanks to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for the ARC of this book in return for my honest review. Receiving the book in this manner had no bearing on my review.
