Kyle Ross has been having the same dream on repeat, for a month. A dream of war, between the light and the underworld. A dream of blood. A dream of death.
Now, the dream has come to an end. Finally, his mind can be at ease and he can focus on what’s important in his life; school, girls and his upcoming birthday. That is until more ominous and vivid dreams plague him, and he is cast into the hidden world of darkness.
Now things have gotten crazy. A demonic messenger of war has appeared in the city, creating chaos. Kyle’s family secrets are thrust upon him, and he, and those he loves, may be more than what they seem.
Will Kyle be torn apart by the rising darkness or will he be able to find himself and save those he loves from the impending storm.

This book Is find very nice written. From the first page its very nice to read. The writing style is very pleasant to read. The book has been very good structured and the plot is interesting. The characters are conceivable and look very authentic. The author succeeds in writing the scenery well.
This is high fantasy as far as I'm concerned. Great read! I loved the beginning. I really liked the idea of a Demon General being given a second chance! The world-building was great. It's a marvelous world of light and dark. Shadow is a marvelous character... he's the reason I was hooked into the book so quickly.! The beginning reads like a different novel from the description! I admit that I went back to the description a few times to check and make sure I was reading the correct book! It all makes sense in the end...but maybe a different description?
I loved this story! Kyle was a fun, relateable protagonist. I'm looking forward to more books in he series. There is so much that can be done with these characters. I'd recommend this for fans of Legion and The Prophecy.
I couldn't put it down from the first page - I was incredibly intrigued by the opening pages. Full of suspense and high fantasy, I can't wait for the other instalments.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. Thank you NetGalley. Main character Kyle has been having the same distrubing dream fora month now. It's a dream of war between two worlds.... When the dream finally stops, he thinks he's all set to focus on the typical teen boy things... like girls and school.. but he was so wrong. More dark dreams come his wya.. and he is suddently cast into the world of darkness. His family has been hiding secrets from him all along... and a demonic messenger is creating havoc.. This and so much more in this interesting read.
