This is a pretty cute book. It was short and a quick read, definitely something for younger kids. I’m not sure if it is a sequel, but there wasn’t much character building (though it is 9 and up so how much character building would there be?) other than new girl Raven, and that was necessary. Or really any world building. As someone who grew up on Goosebumps maybe I’m comparing the two, unfairly.

I did enjoy it though. As I said, a cute book and great for the fall/Halloween season. But it did leave me wanting a bit more, some more... oomph. Great if you’re 9!

This book was received as an ARC from West 44 Books in exchange for an honest review. Opinions and thoughts expressed in this review are completely my own.

Spooky and eerie series are very popular in our library especially with Halloween just around the corner. We had a few people ask to see if there is a new series that is similar to Stranger Things or Super 8 and Ghost Town was just that. This book was thrilling and exciting that will leave you on the edge of your seat almost to the point where you actually fall off and transport yourself in the zombieland along for the ride. We are very excited to share this title with the community and we can't wait to tell them all about The Z team.

We will consider adding this title to our JFiction collection at our library. That is why we give this book 5 stars.

Thank you to West 44 Books for sending me an ebook to review through NetGalley of The Z Team Ghost Town written by D.E. Daly

This is a perfect quick read it’s got great characters, lots of mystery and most of all Ghosts and Vampires. I really liked trying to solve what was going on in their town whilst reading and meeting their newest team member Raven who had shown up from out of town really wanting to hunt the supernatural with them.

It was a good read and I certainly loved that they were all a good united team. The end of the book also opened up for the next book in the series which I’m looking forward to reading. It’s a fantastic book series for young readers wanting to get into supernatural stories that won’t scare or give them nightmares. It’s light and happy but has enough of the creepy stuff too.

It was a good book to read and probably part of a series. I'm not sure where it would fall in a series but can definitely be read as a stand alone. It was a quick cute read and kept things interesting. There is not too much information given about the first three main characters other than a brief overview which felt like a recap. This is what gave me the idea that there maybe a book before this in a series where I would have learned more. The reader does get to learn about Raven who is a new character and an interesting one.

All in all, I enjoyed this book. It was a quick read with good descriptions so I could imagine the story.

I received an e-arc from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Three middle schoolers’ hometown is overrun by ghosts. All they want to do is send the ghosts back through the portal. While trying to complete this mission, they meet a mysterious girl named Raven who might just know a little too much about ghosts.

Ghost Town was a short, fast-paced, and cute story about ghosts. It seems more aimed at younger middle grade readers, but would be a great October read with vampires and ghosts making appearances. It’s spooky without being too spooky.

I’m definitely interested in reading more of DE Daly’s work because this one was cute and I want to know what happens next for The Z Team.

Ghost Town was a really cute book and I would recommend the series to middle grade readers. The one thing I would say about NetGalley is it should make it a little easier to see that a book is part of a series. But the story was well flushed out and the characters were likable. I can't wait until it comes out to get it for my niece as I already ordered the previous books for her.

I love the Hi-Lo books. It allows those who may feel as if a book is too much to tackle - a sense of accomplishment. They generally are short stories that are well written and fleshed out with a beginning, middle and end. It's cohesive and engaging all the while easily comprehended.

This story did not disappoint. It does seem to be one in a series which was okay as a standalone it even introduced a new character. While one could read this anytime of the year, it's perfect for those who love zombies and/or a little spooky-spooky read during Halloween.

I was lucky to be approved by Netgalley to read Ghost Town by D.E Daley. I had not realised that it was part of a middle grade series about the Z team who are group of middle graders who save their town from the paranormal beings in the past which included Vampires and Zombies. This time they are up against ghosts and what do they want and who is Raven who wants to join their team. I really enjoyed reading this book and I specially liked the friendship of the main characters of the Z team which are Malik, Chole and Justin but helping out when needed we have the vampire named Francis. I loved the pacing of this book it certainly wasn't slow in fact I found myself reading it in a day I could not put it down. So for this reason I have to give Ghost Town 4 stars.

Let me tell you that I'm scared of zombies. Whether they can be real or just a fictitious thing to your imagination? I'm still petrified. I honestly wouldn't know how to deal with myself if I ever found a zombie in front of me.

The story was so fun though. Imagine going through another prevention and suddenly having to fight zombies.

But anyway, being woken up by a train whistle and finding out a hunted railroad. Getting to know each character sounds like so much fun and it is. This book is one of the top ten books I would read to kids if they want some spoke story to hear before bedtime.
