Amazon Review

The romance and growth continue in the final installment of Raquel’s journey. While I was able to predict some of what happened, I was surprised by other moments. The clues of what was to come were there, but they were well placed, allowing the reader to reflect once it hit. And, as she did in the first two books, Shar teased out a variety of emotions with her storytelling. Some moments were spectacular and exciting, other moments were quiet and touching, while the intensity of one scene pulled me in so powerfully, I couldn’t put the book down long after I should have been asleep. I loved that not only does Raquel grow but several other characters also break through their own issues, adding depth to the story. While Raquel is the focus of the books, she is not the only one you’ll learn to care about in the trilogy. You’ll see some old favorites from the first two books, which always brings a bit of joy to my heart. Of course, not everyone in life overcomes their prejudices and past experiences. Without spoiling the story with details, I will just say this reality is reflected in the journey, as well. Beyond the romance and personal growth, this book continues to highlight issues in society that most tend to ignore, deny, or blindly support. In a world where we tend to follow the loudest voices without evaluating our own philosophy, Raquel considers the true effects on the individuals we currently demean rather than following the crowd. The story encourages readers to consider our own views and possible biases and to consider how our actions might affect those in a different set of shoes. Often when I finish a series of books, I am left with a bit of sadness that it is finished. But when I finished this story, I was left with a sense of happiness and hope. It’s not just a story in a book that has simply ended. It’s a wealth of ideas that continue to help us on this journey we call life.

What a wonderful way to end this phenomenal trilogy about a woman who chose to live, to approach each day with joy and gratitude and to never say that she couldn't succeed even when it seemed impossible. Any reader could identify with the struggles that Racquel overcame and this book brought me great happiness. A must read for anyone who wants more out of life.

At times, this book really felt like it was all over the place. A couple of the characters showed dramatic change really quickly - one for the worse, which I felt just didn't match up. However, change is what this series is all about so I'm taking that with a grain of salt. I felt that though some areas were very rushed, this was a wholesome and welcomed conclusion to the series.

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. This is the last book in Raquel's journey. She is heading back to NYC in this one. We all want to know if she gets her happily ever after. I find her fun and beautiful character. She is still dealing with the crazy supermodel. IT is a quick read. I won't tell you how it it ends, but I loved it.
