Description

Set in 1851, A Curiosity of the Solar System follows the adventures of Captain Ivor Hooke, an affable but rather undistinguished officer in the British army who has been sent on a mission of diplomacy to one of the farthest flung corners of the British Empire.

Ivor is soon hurled in to a world of rebellious intrigue that sees him plotting his escape from a city suspended above the clouds while being pursued by the ruthlessly piratical Jebediah Craven. Throughout the course of his journey Ivor will encounter a curious collection of characters, contraptions and conspiracies while also embarking upon his own peculiar voyage of self-discovery.

A Note From the Publisher

Although published in 2o17 and well reviewed by a handful of Amazon and Goodreads users, A Curiosity of the Solar System had a very low reach in terms of number of readers. While the same is true of the follow up (One of Life's Great Mysteries) last year, the third and final chapter of the trilogy is to due to be released before Christmas 2019.

With this in mind, A Curiosity of the Solar System has been made available on Netgalley to widen the entire trilogy's exposure. The second and third instalments will also be made available over the coming months.

All readers, comments and feedback welcome!

"Indie writing doing what it’s supposed to do, painting a world that we’re compelled fall into, to be fond of and respect."

Marketing Plan

A Curiosity of the Solar System is the first book in the Newerath Trilogy. It's follow up - One of Life's Great Mysteries - was published last year, and the final book - The Universal Truth of the Matter - will be published before Christmas 2019.

Marketing efforts will therefore focus on the trilogy as a whole when all three books are available to the public.
