We use this book in our Preschool classrooms for Black History month every year, and throughout the year if one of the people featured fits with our theme. The kids enjoy the rhyming format and beautiful illustrations and I like that it covers some people we already talk about and some people that we hadn't. I listened to the audiobook through NetGalley and felt it added an extra dimension having things acted out by voice actors.

Really well done! I'd love to see the print book. This is wonderfully narrated by a variety of readers, giving a fabulous texture to the writing. I was delighted to see some lesser known heroes of Black History. I learned a lot. Thank you to NetGalley and Spotlight Audio for sharing a copy with me in exchange for my honest review. I feel lucky to have experienced this fine audiobook.

'28 Days' is an inspirational educational collection of 28 unique stories commemorating Black History Month. Each day tells a brief story about a different person or event that changed or shaped history. This would be a great starting off point to use in the classroom or even to listen to with your children. The figures included range from very popular, to those who are less well known. The audiobook was very well-produced and includes a variety of gifted narrators and clips and music. Since only 28 days are presented, there are sometimes large gaps in between events and historical figures. I would love to hear a sequel to this that introduces even more historical figures and events.

Thank you NetGalley and Live Oak Media for providing this audiobook.
