This was a little more focused on self-help in general rather than a guide to inspire creativity, but although the message itself is a familiar one, the artwork in this book was beautiful. My next stop is to look into her design company because the illustrations really were gorgeous.

I love this book! The illustrations are colorful, well placed within the book and makes this an encouraging book to read.
It truly made my day and it reminded me to give myself room to fall and rise.
Thanks Netgalley for the eARC.

I cannot get over the artwork in this book, it is absolutely stunning! I'd more than happily buy this book just for the visuals alone - beautiful. I also love the layout, the colours, the quotes, I honestly love everything.

The only thing I will say is that I agree with another reviewer that, this book is more self-help than inspiring creativity.

What an uplifting book!

Give yourself a little margin, a little white space as author says and be more mindful about yourself and (loving) others. Take more time, make room for community, self-care, be creative. And creativity is all that and more. In all parts in our lives we can be creative. And life is more fun that way!

Short, concise and beautifully illustrated guide. Wonderful gift for yourself and friends, too.

A beautifully illustrated, quick guide to remembering to give yourself time, grace, and margin. The chunks are bitesized, inspiring, and easy to consume. This is a book I would go back to often for a quick pick me up.

This beautifully illustrated book carries such a sweet message. Give yourself Margin reminds us all to carve out time to for self care, to forgive ourselves and reevaluate what makes us happy. The themes in this book really come to life beside the authors stunning visual designs and remind the reader that creativity is all around you should you be encouraged enough to see it out. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc.

Everything is lovable in this book: the illustrations, the message and the words chosen to convey it. Give Yourself Margin just reminds us that we need to take time and space to be productive, creative and happy, while providing great creative examples from the author. I really loved the illustrations, their style, their colors, and the way they were connected with text.

An inspirational book I'd like to revisit.

This was so pretty and cute – I loved the full-page images of lovely illustrations and inspirational quotes. The book, in fact, is largely just that, with some other pages of more in-depth text scattered through. Not so much a book as a collection of nice pictures and quotes – which isn't a criticism, just making it clear what it actually is! Something pleasant and very pretty to flip through over a coffee when you need a little boost.

This was truly a nice little self help book to read, with lots of advices and beautiful art accompanying it. We should all take notes. I know I did. Here's a few:

→ give yourself permission to fail
→ there's more than one way forward
→ you are not responsible for other people's feelings
→ the only thing that is certain is that you will feel uncertain from time to time
→ give yourself permission to say “no”

Have you heard of the saying “give yourself a margin”? It’s a sewing term, and is another way of saying give yourself space and room to make mistakes.

Stacie Bloomfield adopted this as her personal motto to live a more happier and creative life. She is an author, illustrator and owns Gingiber, a design company focused on fabric and stationary.

After experiencing burn out, Bloomfield cleared her schedule for a month and broke away from her regular routine which helped her get back to feeling more like herself.

“We need more white space. We need room to stretch. To grow. To dream. To pivot. To change direction. We need more margins.”

This 100-page book is filled with beautiful illustrations (I want to frame these!), writing prompts and personal stories.

If you are looking to give yourself a “mental margin” and reconnect with your creative self, start here.

The description fits this book perfectly. I am glad I picked this up and to my satisfaction, I can say that the universe sent me this book in the right time. Hereby saying, I would add that I am thankful for Netgalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for allowing me to read this title and browse others too. It is a blessing, truly.

Give Yourself Margin by Stacie Bloomfield is a wonderfully created self-help guide which will lead you towards stages of knowing, followed by self-reflecting, exploring and focusing on positivity through different kinds of practices which include Gratitude lists, affirmations and notes of teachings on recieving, giving, sharing and loving.

A read to be cherished highly.
