Description

A haunted tower, an evil ghost, a monster spawned from a meme

After graduating high school Abby returns to Harmony Springs, her spiritual home. She plans to reconnect with friends, take one college class over the summer—and of course resume her magical studies.

But life in central Florida is not as peaceful as she hoped. Nightmares and visions torment her: a weird castle, an armored ghost, a giant white frog devouring people. When a girl is murdered on campus and a picture of the same white frog found beside the body, Abby knows it’s not just her problem, but the world’s. An evil entity is loose, fed by occult forces, spreading rage and hate.

Abby’s guides say it’s her duty to fight this monster. But can she discover the power to banish the white frog and its master? Or will she become their next victim?

Ghosts of Lock Tower is the third book of The Abby Renshaw Supernatural Mysteries. If you like tales of ghosts, psychic mystery, and magic, you will love this series.

Abby is living with her grandma in Harmony Springs. She is going to help grandma, take one college class and continued her magical studies. She is having strange dreams that she doesn’t know what to make of them. She has one dream about a giant white frog. She meets a guy at college that invites her to the practical magic club. As she learns more about it, she decides to try it even though it doesn’t have a moral code to use it. She discovers that it is not for her. When a girl is found dead on campus, Abby knows the white frog did it. She finds out from her magical study teacher that the white frog is a danger until she can get rid of it. Will Abby be able to find out how to? She discovers that two ghosts could help her get rid of it but one won’t and one can’t. Lock is the ghost who will eventually be able to give her the information she needs to get rid of the white frog. The information she seeks is in the Lock Tower. However the Lock Tower is closed to the public. Will Abby get in? If she gets in, will she find the information she needs?

A mystery that involves the paranormal and magic. It also includes friendship and an ancient goddess. The story is a fantastic read. I enjoyed following Abby as she tried to figure out the giant white frog and how to get rid of it. It was great how she was able to continue her friendship and discover how the goddess could help her. I can’t wait to read the next Abby Renshaw adventure book. Though this is Abby’s third adventure, I had no trouble reading it as a stand-alone book. I’m so glad I read this book! I recommend it to anyone that enjoys a few ghosts and a great mystery.

An incredible read about magic and staying true to one’s beliefs. Abby begins college as well as a new challenge in learning magic. She is so brave and determined to do what she feels is the best interest for her friends and family. I learned so much about wielding magic and how things can either be used for good or bad. This author stressed the idea of a balance to keep everyone and everything in homeostasis. A concept I think has been overlooked for a long time.

This is definitely a teen / young adult book & is excellent as such. Really like what the author did here.It apparently is part of a series but also a stand alone. While he dealt deftly with the teen thing his reinforcement of ethics in magical practices was excellent along with bringing up group thought processes actually creating an entity or multiples. The story was fast fun with no idea what was going to happen. Had an idea of the knight of wands & proven true but still couldn't have guessed the story. It centers around a teen that has been initiated into a magical group with alot of things happening in her life & around her while she is trying to start to come into herself. Would highly recommend & check out his other books too as I will
