In 'Knock Out', Brodie needs to focus on training for his upcoming match. Interfering with his regimen is working with Tabitha. He can't get her off his mind, and zeroes in on getting a date with her. Tabitha has self esteem issues due to a jerk from her past. She's very interested in Brodie, but needs help coming out of her shell.

I really loved this story. Its short, but nothing is missing from the plot. I liked both of the main characters, and adored little max. I look forward to reading the sequel.

This was a super short insta-love story. Somewhat cliché (shy librarian with a cat meets bad boy boxer/construction worker) but it was fun and quick and sweet.

Kindly received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book. Tabitha and Brodie are both lovable characters and you just want the best for them. Since this story is short, things happen pretty quickly but it was still a great read with lots of love. I just wish it was longer!!

It's just what I needed: instalove relationship between a shy librarian and an alpha male boxer, sexy times, and a cute kitten. Definitely read this book if you love all three.

I really liked this short story. It reminded me a lot of Christa Wick's curvy girl stories - which isn't a bad thing at all! Tabitha is a curvy, shy, beautiful, librarian and new cat owner. She's been burned by a past "relationship" with a real jerk. Brodie is a boxer - who is doing construction work while he tries to go pro in the boxing world. Brodie is very attracted to Tabitha - but Tabitha has a hard time believing he is really interested in her. Brodie is definitely one of the good ones. He is focused, sweet, and is very much in to Tabitha.

Because this is a short story - a lot of things happen in a very short period of time. Including declarations of love, sex, and dealing with anxieties. I would have enjoyed reading a longer version of this story with those issues fleshed out more - but somehow even in this short format - it still worked!

I received this as an ARC from NetGalley, but these opinions are my own.

This story was short but cute. It moved quickly so it was hard to get a feel for any chemistry between them or even their personalities. It seems more like it should be in a short story collection, not a standalone title. It was a good story, there's just not much of it.

Tabatha is a librarian who has curves and her friend says rocks in a dress, but because of a guy she dated in college has low self-esteem. So now living in a new town taking the job as a librarian she is just hoping to get through each day without being noticed.
Works for her until a remodel at the library and she meets one of the construction workers by the name of Brodie, who also is working his way through the boxing ranks. He sees and thinks she is a knockout. After asking her out for a date and being turned down he gets another chance when her cat gets stuck in a pipe. After the rescue, he is able to take her out.
Their night is good, great really for both the problem for him is she is nowhere to be found when he wakes in the morning. Now wanting to be with her he must really step out of his comfort zone and hope she shows for his fight. Tabitha felt bad for leaving but felt she had to do it, but later in the day she realizes she must face one of her fears and go to his boxing match, this is really where the story becomes a true love story. A wonderful story with good characters and is also a quick read. Very much worth your time.

I really enjoyed this book, but it was over too soon. I hadn’t realised it was so short and wanted it to continue. I would have loved to hear more about them and more of their story. It would have been five stars if there was just a bit more to it.

3 1/2 stars

This novella was a quick read that packed a "punch" - - no pun intended.

I think it's typically hard to connect the reader to characters in a short novella. However, the author did a fair job of it with this story. Brodie and Tabitha were both very likable characters and made a wonderful couple. Brodie was the perfect alpha male to calm Tabitha's insecurities.

Knock Out offered a quick escape from real life. The reader is able to journey into the world of a sexy, curvy (albeit insecure) librarian and the hunky man working on construction in her building. It's a cute and fun story. It was a nice palate cleanser in between other more intense books.

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC. The opinions contained within this review are entirely my own.

For a novella, I greatly enjoyed it! The conversations and thought processes among the characters were smooth and easy to follow. I never had to reread sections to determine what was going on. The descriptions of the settings, characters, and surroundings were just the right among to ensure that the readers got an image in their mind rather than not being enough to form a well rounded picture.

The only thing I might have added was having a scene where Tabby told Brodie about her horrible experience in the past with relationships. We could have been witness to an extremely sweet Brodie that would have reenforced his dedication and devotion to Tabitha.

I loved this book! Super short read but had every element I enjoy in a good contemporary romance. There was an alpha male type character and a shy librarian. Talk about opposites attract! But they dooo! Both main characters were so loveable. I enjoyed the plot, the characters, and the love scenes. ;) I honestly could've done with another 200 pages. Lol! This author will definitely be added to my list of writers to follow. Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this book!

I loved everything about this one. It's the perfect comfort read. You know what's going to happen and that's ok, because it has all of the very best romance tropes. And because it's such a quick read, 55 pages, there is minimal angst.

Tabitha is the best, she speaks to my book nerd self, I wish I worked in a library too. I wish I had her wicked fashion style. I wish I was brave enough to get on the back of my husbands Harley more. And Brodie is the ultimate male lead. Bonus points for being a boxer.

This book mainlines you all the good stuff, no waste, lots of sexy fun. Entertaining and endearing.

A worthy four stars.
A cute, steamy, quick read.
I enjoyed it. Characters were great. I would read this author again.

Knock Out by Willow James is a fast read. The story is an instant connection between a shy librarian and an aspiring boxer. It was hot and sexy and very fast it was over. I would have loved to read more about their story and more details.

But as for a novella, it was a good read, with interesting characters.

This is a great novella instalove romance book. Brodie is a pro boxer that does construction work on the side and Tabitha is a smart librarian that is on the plus size. Tabitha has had a bad experience with romance in the past because of her size and so when Brodie showed interest in her she had to learn to believe in herself. I really liked the storyline and would have liked more interaction with Brodie and Tabitha about her past experience but it still was fun reading how they get together.
Also I really loved Tabitha's best friend Collin and it would have been great to see more interaction with that character. Otherwise I would love a romance story with Collin as the main character and his love story.
