The authentic pictures are portrayed in a vivid way that will attract and keep a child's attention span. It was enlightening to see the chicken play the role of the main character's mother as she prepares him for school. I love how the 2nd and 4th line of each page had end rhyme. There is even a treat at the end that teaches you amazing facts about chickens. I learned 6 of them after reading this book!!
