Unfinished Dreams

Derrick Mattingly is a regular, eighteen-year-old kid in 2071 with dreams of becoming a musician and finding eternal love in a world where culture has been turned upside-down... a world where humankind is aided by androids, virtual reality, and surreal technology... a world where new challenges and adventures confront him every step of the way.

But his journey actually began way earlier than 2071, beginning in Medieval Wales in the thirteenth century, where his life essence DID find eternal love with his beloved Katherine. 

Derrick's journey and struggles then continued in the seventeenth century in Vienna, Austria, future home of great composers like Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven. The royal palace staunchly supported "the best" musicians and composers in the world, sponsoring lavish musical productions that touched the souls of even the most jaded amongst the nobility. But how can Derrick's musical talents as a classical composer be discovered? He is but a common worker who repairs shoes, a far cry from the elitist world of high-society! 

These past experiences helped shape the being of Derrick Mattingly... his current "essence", and in 2071, his pursuit of dreams of eternal love and artistic excellence continue. This is the story of "Unfinished Dreams".
