by Ryu Hyang
Pub Date 12 Nov 2020
Description
A heartwarming story of two people who were meant for each other.
Soohyuk: a pediatric emergency medicine specialist. A man who never eats something someone else gives him.
Soohyuk, the tyrant who rules S University Hospital’s pediatric emergency room. He only cares about treating sick children, whether or not that gets in the way of advancing his career. He, a grouch to everyone aside from the patients, suddenly starts noticing a woman: the woman who feeds him.
Yuna: a chef who makes boxed lunches. A woman who panics and collapses whenever she meets a man, due to trauma from her past.
Wanting to do what she likes rather than going off to college, Yuna opens up her own business that specializes in boxed lunches, A Tasty Meal. She gets scared when one day she sees the tall Soohyuk standing outside her restaurant, but she soon learns he is only drawn to the delicious smell. And, somehow, she comes to be in charge of his everyday meals.
When Soohyuk meets Yuna, a confident, surefooted woman who gets startled and scared when he comes near, he wants to know everything there is to know about her.
“Did you collapse because you don’t like me? Or are you scared of men?”

THIS BOOK IS AMAZING!!! I absolutely loved the start to this series and I’m already craving the next book. I NEED IT. The story revolves around a blunt and cold doctor who only ever shows kindness to his children patients and a chef who has a fear of men. Doctor Soohyuk is known for being extremely cold towards people but an amazing doctor, yet he wonders upon Yuna’s restaurant and just can’t seem to keep away from her. Both characters are complex and have deep traumas, but they find that they both seem to feel more at ease around the other. I absolutely fell in love with these characters and this story, I can’t even begin to say how sweet their slow love story is. Honestly, this book has it all, emotions, a soft romance, and of course my favorite kind of romance: a grouch who is only soft for the person they like. 10/10 stars. I am so amped to read the next book and continue on their journey! *Thank you netgalley and POPPYPUB for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review* |

This book was super cute and fluffy, I loved the rep! If i could compare this book to another it would be The Hating Game. The protagonist was likeable and bonded well with the love interest. It wasn’t my favourite book in the world but i did really enjoy it and finished it in two sittings. |

This was such a fun and amazing book! It really started off the series with a bang! I am already looking for the next book! The story revolves around a blunt and cold doctor who only ever shows kindness to his children patients and a chef who has a fear of men. Doctor Soohyuk is known for not having great people skills but being an amazing doctor in his field. He wonders upon Yuna’s restaurant and just can’t seem to keep away from her. Both characters are complex and have deep traumas, they seem to find a safe space with each other. I absolutely fell in love with these characters and this story. This is truly a love story. A low to trust and love story. Honestly, this book is strong on the emotions, a soft romance. This is absolutely the grump who can only be light when he is with the other half of his heart. I can’t not wait for book 2 to see where their journey leads. |

A very sweet love story, soft but lively at the same time. Just the Two of us builds on a romance that burns until it's a supernova. It also handles the trauma very well, and resonated with me immensely. Really excited for book 2! |

A great read - I can't wait for the next book. Soohyuk and Yuma meet when he moves to Korea to work in the hospital for a couple of years. Both are interesting characters and have issues in their past they are trying to address. A quirky and different read. |

I absolutely loved this book. The writing was quite quirky but in a fun way. I'm not sure if it's the way it was translated but it worked! I loved it. The story was great, I was a bit unsure with the start of the book, he came across as cold but I soon warmed to his quirky mannerisms within a few pages. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author. |

Ryu Huang definitely keep my interests high with Just the Two of Us. I enjoyed the evolution of his characters and the book was a light read after an emotional week. I enjoyed that this was a love story that involved breaking down some barriers and allowing yourself to trust again. It was a great read for election week and I would definitely read book 2! I received an Advanced Reader Copy through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. |
