Description

Allow yourself to be swept away to a bygone era…

No Ordinary Duke

Returning to England after ten years abroad, Caleb Crawford learns he's the new Duke of Camberly. Only he doesn't want the title. He'd rather help three spinsters fix a leaky roof. Disguised as a laborer, he falls for Mary and she returns his affection. Until she learns that he's more than he seems and that she's in danger of getting hurt.

More than a Rogue

With a broken engagement behind her, Emily Howard knows she's destined to be a spinster. Nevertheless, it might still be nice to learn about kissing. But when she's discovered in the arms of Griffin Crawford, she flees to save not only him but her very own heart. Because in her experience, dreams don't come true. Do they?

Her Seafaring Scoundrel

Lady Cassandra has no desire to marry. But when Captain Devlin Crawford brings scandal to her doorstep and offers salvation, she cannot say no. Not with her daughter’s future at stake. So she decides to accept Devlin’s offer, provided he agrees to never be intimate with her. For although Cassandra is drawn to Devlin, she refuses to dishonor the memory of her one true love.

If you love independent heroines and heroes willing to go to the ends of the earth for them, you'll love this series!

Three beautifully crafted stories from a bygone era, involving ladies and lords, dukes and duchesses, all the intricacies of the aristocracy.

These were no ordinary men, not the stereo typed gentlemen we are used to seeing. These were gentlemen no doubt, but they were certainly different. The ladies were even more surprising - not run of the mill missish types, all from the aristocracy but all with a will of their own and acting in a manner which sets the aristocracy alight!

These were fun stories to read, beautiful settings and very descriptive. It was ideal reading as a change from the WWII books I've got so drawn to recently. Very entertaining.

This is a three book series of a Regency romance. The books are inter-connected, but each story can stand alone; that said you will enjoy it more if you read them in order. Each story has a main couple and the tale is told from two points of view. The identical Crawford triplets, sons of the Duke of Camberly do not care for their autocratic father's career choices for them. As the Duke already has an heir in George; he expects the "spares" to become clergy, or enter the military. Deciding to choose their own path, Caleb, the eldest; becomes a well known architect in France. Griffin, the second born becomes a world renowned clock maker in Vienna; while Devlin becomes a well respected ship's Captain. The triplets return home after ten years only to find that their father and George have recently perished in a stable fire. No chance now to show their father how wrong he was. Caleb is now, unhappily; the Duke. Each of the triplets are drawn to unconventional women, who have been unfairly spurned by society. Each book tells the tale of how the man must win his fair lady.
The author does a very good job of world building and each of the characters are unique, with their individual strengths and weaknesses; but they are all very real and compelling. Each story has its own plot line and they are interesting. The males have a tendency to not communicate (surprise!) and the females tend to run, rather than fight it out!
I received an ARC from Net Galley. I chose to read the books and the review is mine alone. I enjoyed the books and would recommend them to others.

The Crawford series tells the stories of three brothers and their journey on the path of love.

Each brother has an insecurity and mind-block they have to overcome. How they manage to do it and find the love of their lives forms the crux of each story. Each story deals with one brother and their love interest.

Their love interests too have their own baggage which they need to deal with. They are women who dare to be different from the norm. They have managed to break away from the confines placed on them and live life the way they wanted. All this combined together makes up for some interesting stories.

I loved the last book the most- Cassandra and Dev's story made the most sense to me and really touched my heart. The next favorite was the 1st story based on Caleb and Mary's lives. In fact, the 2nd book was my least favorite among these three as it felt a bit too long and I just couldn't connect with the main leads..

In the end,  all three books combined gave a good reading experience. Thanks to the author and Netgalley for providing this ARC.

A lovely trio of recency stories, a set of triplets meet their match in 3 very unusual friends. After being disgraced in the eyes of society Cassandra, Mary and Emily run an orphanage in the Cornish countryside until their lives are disturbed by the arrival one at a time if the Crawford triplets. Each story follows the tale of each of the triplets and his meeting the woman who will change his world whether he likes it or not. I really enjoyed this collection and loved how they each included an epilogue which took the reader beyond the traditional happy ever after and told them how the story truly ended.

Author Sophia Barnes tantalizes the reader to include myself in each of the books via a different approach, but one that each of us will appreciate with humor and as readers with opinions. My opinion is that I loved each of the books for different reasons, but I loved all the characters in each of the books because they were interesting and they had what I would say was candor and distinct viewpoints which gave each book there own personality.

I would definitely recommend this series to anyone looking for a great read!

I received a free advanced copy from NetGalley and these are my willingly given thoughts and opinions.

I received this series as an ARC from NetGalley.

This series follows a set of triplets who are the upper crust of England through adventures in life and romance. The three stories are a fantastically well written - strong stories with women playing more of a role than they should during the time period.

This series is not to be missed.

Caleb, Griffin, and Devlin Crawford are triplets. They are in fact the triplet sons of the Duke of Camberly. The Duke managed to irritate all three of them so badly, they left England. Years later, they are back. Each of them has made life he is happy with and proud of. Caleb is shocked to learn that his father and older brother have died in a fire and that he is now Duke. Cassandra, Mary, and Emily, all ruined in the eyes of Society, have escaped London and an orphanage. They are independent, successful, and happy. Their stories are interesting and emotional. A surprising secret in each story reveals a connection between the hero and heroine. This is an entertaining series with three engaging couples each with a unique story. I thoroughly enjoyed all three stories.

I received an ARC of this series from the publisher via NetGalley. My review is voluntary.

What a fantastic set!

Each of these books is delightful as a standalone romance, but all together they seamlessly flow into one amazing story about two families - one a set of triplet brothers who all left home years ago, the other a makeshift family of friends and orphans - and how their lives become beautifully intertwined.

Caleb, the eldest, unexpectedly becomes a duke upon the tragic deaths of his father and brother. He runs across a set of spinsters - three women who have, for various reasons, left Society and banded together to run an informal orphanage. His story intersects with one of the three, Mary, whose own history is inexplicably intertwined with his own. One by one, his brothers Griffin and Devlin make their way home and find their forever afters with Mary's friends, Emily and Cassandra.

These stories were such a joy to read! Lots of insightful, honest emotional interplay with just enough sizzle to satisfy. I loved the attention to detail shown in overlapping the stories and characters, and the many years later epilogues are everyone a swooning reader could hope for. If you love historical romances, you don't want to miss these. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

This is definitely a collection not to be missed.
Ms. Barnes has such a smooth writing style and does a great job of developing the characters. These are very well-written stories and I think the author did a very nice job of bringing the characters and stories to life with vivid descriptions. The storylines flowed smoothly and the plot twists kept me turning the pages anxious to see what would happen next. Follow Caleb, Griffin, and Devlin, three brothers who are against marriage, as they navigate their hearts and find their way to love. The unconventional beauties they fall for are all strong and independent women. Their stories will pull you in and give you hours of reading pleasure. Once I started one, I had to read them all, and I'm so glad they came in a set so I didn't have to wait. This is a gem.os a collection and one I am happy to recommend!

I was given a free copy via Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Three complete books now together in a boxed set. Each book is a Crawford brother, brothers who are triplets. Three ladies are friends who run an orphanage in Clearview. Each lady is a spinster with her own reason to stay away from the gossip and criticism of London society. Obstacles stand in the way of their happiness. Only a Crawford will overcome them to wed the lady he loves.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

No Ordinary Duke

This is book one of the Crawford's series.

When Caleb meets Mary, the sparks fly. He has never been so strongly attracted to a woman in his life.
Caleb comes to like all of the ladies and loves the children in the home and they all like him as well.
It is an admiration fest except they don’t know Caleb is a duke. Ok Oh!

This gem of a book will delight you and entertain you as you watch two people, who are more similar than they think, find love and grow to learn that they must balance the simple life they both want with the duties of a title that he never wanted in the first place.

More Than A Rogue

This is book two in the Crawford's series.
This is the latest Crawford's book by Sophie Barnes. Although part of a series it can be read as a standalone book, however as in most series it is much better read with the others in order of publication.
I love this series and look forward to more.
This book gets a 4.75 of 5.0 star rating from me.
There is just a hint of danger but this is a much anticipated romance between Emily and Griffin.

Her Seafaring Scoundrel

This is book three and the final book in The Crawford's series.
Lady Cassandra has no desire to marry. But when Captain Devlin Crawford brings scandal to her doorstep and offers salvation, she cannot say no. Not with her daughter’s future at stake.
This amazing conclusion of this series is not to be missed.
Sophia Barnes has written an amazing series.
I look forward to many more books by this author.
I received a complimentary ARC of this book from the author via NetGalley to read. This in no way affected my opinion of this book which I read and reviewed voluntarily.
