Description
You have the wisdom; now let’s find the path.
Finding life’s path can be difficult, but what if I told you that the true answer could and is often found within.
The Thinkers Journey is different than most self-help/motivational books. It is written a bit out of the box with the idea to make you think as you read each tidbit.
The only true requirement is that you be willing to be open to what is being said. Let your mind think, or as we say back home, ponder a bit.
I do realize that you do not read self-help books for their literary qualities. You read them because you want or hope to learn something. Therefore, I have done my best to make you not only think but learn something about yourself along the way.
The book can be a quick read but should be read at an easy pace. Each little tidbit should be read and thought about for a moment. You never know when something will hit you just right. After all, there may be just one line in the whole book that fits you, and to tell the truth, that is what this whole book is about…You.
After 22 ½ years in the military, I learn you do not always have to tell an individual what to do, and sometimes it is best to give them the ball and let them run with it.
The book is not here to teach; it is here to make you think and evaluate yourself. It will give you the knowledge, but it is up to you to make a wise choice.
Hence, your journey is to open the book and examine it page by page, line by line. Getting from it what it means to you. Nothing more.
Enjoy Your path is in front of you. Take it.

I enjoyed this book a great deal. It is a short read, but full of informative tidbits. There are no questions that this book is different from other self-help books. Nevertheless, after stepping back and reading what others thought from different reviews, I realized that this book is written amazingly.
The author gave you just what he said in the book description and introduction. This book does not tell you what to do, but allows you to think about what needs to be done. When I started to think about it, I liked it much better. I do not need or want someone I do not know and does not know me to tell me what is best for me. That is what most self-help books do. They are a one size fits all.
After I finished the book, I went back and reread the book description and the introduction. I found out that you must this beforehand to understand what to expect from this book fully. I then reread the first part of the book and understood so much better what the author was trying to convey. The book was about me, my reaction to things, and the choices I make, and their outcomes. The numerous bits and pieces of wisdom allow you to come to your own conclusion.
I never saw one reference to scratching your head, but I did see where you were allowed to think. If thinking and making your own decision is not for you, this book is not for you. If you enjoy self-help books that lead you through every step, then this book is not for you.
There may be one problem with the book. An international audience may not understand it fully. It is written from an American perspective with some odd American country sayings. But as the book said, it is okay to do it differently.
Many lines from the book drew me in, but one that stands out as I write this more than others. “The book means nothing; the words mean everything.” I believe with the writer; the book really means nothing. Yet, the words inside, for some, can mean everything.
I highly recommend you give the book a shot. Yet if you are looking for the same old style self-help book, stay away. There is no leading you to water in this book. The book is about You and no one else.
