Description

James Sullivan, quarterback for the Savannah Sharks, never thought there’d come a day when football wasn’t his priority. But finally finding his feet after his divorce and with a nine-year-old daughter to raise by himself, he has new priorities. And it shows on the field.

Newly hired conditioning coach Daisy Katrakis has pointed out his less-than-stellar play, and that rankles James. He’s known Daisy for years—she’s his best friend’s little sister—and more annoying than her criticism is how attractive she is. When did Daisy get so hot? Though he reminds himself that she’s his coach, it’s hard to ignore their mutual attraction. And harder still to ignore what Daisy is starting to do to his heart.

Being hired by the Sharks is a dream come true for Daisy. The last thing she needs is to complicate things by getting into a relationship with the terminally sexy James Sullivan. Her obsession is football, not a gorgeous quarterback with muscles that have muscles.

Daisy’s never been a girly-girl, but there’s something about James that brings out her softer side. Something that makes her think there could be more. But a coach dating the quarterback is fraught with complications, and Daisy knows her priority has to be her job. Which leaves her with an impossible decision: live her dream or break her own heart.

James Sullivan, quarterback for the Savannah Sharks, never thought there’d come a day when football wasn’t his priority. But finally finding his feet after his divorce and with a nine-year-old...

Fun series!

Daisy Katrakis has gotten her dream job of being the strength and conditioning coach for the Savannah Sharks because she wanted to work in the NFL but there is a catch. The quarterback is James Sullivan is her brother’s best friend and the guy that she had a crush on when she was younger.

There is a lot of attraction between Daisy and James, but they have to deal with the team, their families and not disappointing his daughter Emma.

P.S. There is an excerpt for the next book Touchdown, and I can’t wait to read it because I love books that have people with no kids become guardians unexpectedly.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I devoured this book in one sit!

Daisy and James are a dreamboat coupke and couldn’t get enough of them.

First, I loved how sexy and hot the chemistry between them was from the start. The flirty banter and the interactions were so fun the read.

I loved how determined and strong Daisy was and how powerful her role was in a world dominated mainky by men. She was a role model and a badass coach.

James was so sweet and swoony. I loved how kind he was and his protectiveness about his daughter. Emma was always his priority and that made him such a wonderful character to read.

I laughed, swooned and blushed with this beautiful story.

Loved this sweet, second book in the series! I just adored how Emma and Daisy’s relationship eve loved along with Daisy and James. Daisy’s brother and James were friends in high school and Daisy happens to get a coaching job on James’ team. Daisy is trail-blazer as one of the few women in the NFL and is totally bad-ass! Jane’s and Daisy try to fight their attraction but eventually give in. James is so sweet and I love him and Daisy! This is another great sports romance and I can’t wait to read the next one in the series!!

Complementary copy given for honest review and opinion from NetGalley. Opinions are my own. This book was filled with sports, woman power and love. The main characters have a history from their childhood and Leslie North does what she does best, she draws you in and holds you captive. This is a book that it hard to put down. 5 stars!

After First Down I kept my eye out for the next part of the Sharks Football series. Because of course I wanted to see who would be the next Savannah Shark in the next part.

And yay, it was James Sullivan, the hot Quarterback with his cute nine year old daughter in this story. And Daisy, the new conditioning coach. Working for a NFL team has been Daisy’s dream. And now she landed her dream job with the Sharks, where her high school crush works: James. No biggie. Of course she will look at James his gorgeous body for professional reasons only.

James barely recognizes the little sister of his best friend since high school. Little Daisy has grown up and is now a hot lady, who has his team breaking into a sweat. And not only from her harsh workouts.

Although Daisy and James try to keep things professional, sparks start flying. And of course the press has a field day in dissecting their blooming relationship and the current results of the team. So Daisy has to chose between romance and her credibility as a coach. What will she chose? Find out for yourself in this hot read. Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.
