A delightful book that encourages the reader to find joy in the everyday. There are 365 ideas which include fun, mindful and showing gratitude activities. The reader is invited to rediscover their inner child and get in touch with their creative side. This is a workbook, so each page has plenty of space for notes, pictures and doodles. A lovely and inspiring book.

A bit like an activity book for adults, this is chock full of questions, lists and drawing/coloring prompts meant to promote mindfulness and help you get in touch with what makes you happy. This would be a fun and and useful book for anyone who wants to start learning about mindfulness but doesn't know where to start, feels overwhelmed or wants to approach it from a different direction. It's a fun, concise place to keep track of information that you can use to center yourself when spiraling. You can fill it all out fast and look back on it when needed or you can work through it slowly. It's an excellent resource either way.

(Definitely needs to be bought as a print book, doesn't really work as an ebook.)

In Reclaim Joy, Rushton has put together a fine compilation of daily activities meant to increase joy, gratitude, and confidence. The book is laid out in workbook fashion with 365 activities to try and could be a great addition to any gratitude or journaling practice. While many of the tasks include some aspect of writing, others are more oriented toward mindfulness (e.g., choose a color and seek out things in your world that are that color throughout the day). I really liked the simplicity in the tasks laid out and am looking forward to adding this practice into my morning routine!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Thank you for the change to review this journal! I am grateful for the opportunity to provide some feedback.

"Reclaim Joy" aims to be a "guided joy to discover simple pleasures every day." I read through some of the many prompts (356). Some of my favorite prompts were about the home. Having spent so much time indoors due to the global pandemic, I have been rethinking the way I utilize my space. Some of the prompts were really helpful in this section. One of the biggest strengths of the prompts: they are realistic and useful. Further, I think that the layout is gorgeous. The design and illustrations are very beautiful, right up my alley in terms of style. There are some really unique prompts that involve drawing as well as writing. At the end of the journal, there are further resources about happiness, nature, and creativity. I definitely think this would be a neat gift OR something to buy for yourself..... especially if something like for a New Year's resolution or goal setting. :-)

This is a very unique journal, unlike most that I have seen before. I loved how many graphics there are throughout it and how different each of the prompts are. Great modern journal to help bring joy daily!

Reclaim Joy, by Emine Rushton, is just what the subtitle says: a guided journal to discover simple pleasures every day. The author is a holistic therapist (not exactly sure what that entails) who provides a years’ worth of prompts and rituals designed to help the reader who is trying to incorporate more mindfulness into their life...which seems to apply to many of us during this pandemic!

Examples include “Harvesting foraged blackberries in a city park. Listening to the sound of the rain. Making petal paint.Tuning into birdsong. Creating your own morning motto. Appreciating the fragrant steam from a cup of tea. All nice things, and the print book is a workbook format that allows the reader to get creative with their efforts. It is more of a series of prompts to enable the reader to discover for themselves the benefits of mindfulness, rather than a book telling the reader about it. I like that!

A nice addition to my little library of self-help books. Now I just need to spend some time at being more mindful instead of reading for so many hours each day! With gratitude to Quarto Publishing/Leaping Hare Press and NetGalley, this is a five star entry into the literature of mindfulness.

was drawn to this title by both the cover and the concept. The author, early in the book, shares a quote from Alan Watts which states, in part, “The meaning of life is just to be alive;” it is not to run and run and run. So, this is a journal to help one to slow down and experience life, rather than chasing after the next thing. In that spirit, this book includes things to do and think about in order to have that kind of life, 365 entries in all. Some are original ideas for me, others I already knew but that is okay. Readers can choose what they want to take and leave the rest, hopefully after a few deep breaths. Fill in the pages and have a memento of this time in life.

By the way, the illustrations are lovely. They very much enhance the text.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this title. All opinions are my own.

Reclaim Joy by Emine Rushton is a cute, illustrated book with 365 simple ideas that will help us cultivate our mindfulness and creativity. I really enjoyed going through this. I think my daughter and I will try to complete each of these activities every day. That will teach her to grow more mindful.

This book will show you how to notice, find and experience the simple things that can bring happiness back into your everyday life.

The book contains 365 ideas on how to notice these small things, from making a list of your favourite tunes to observing the sunset each night. The book has lots of cute illustrations throughout and plenty of space to write your answers in, though the dots throughout the book feel meaningless.

I received this book from Netgalley in return for an honest review.

Reclaim Joy is a beautifully illustrated self-help book. It features 365 crafts and activities aimed to help individuals retain a more positive outlook on life as well as organise and reshape their lives. The sections are easy to follow and split into times of day as well as the various seasons. I love the fact that unlike most other self-help books, this one you don’t have to follow from start to finish, you can randomly skip to the task you feel that you most need that particular day.

My only negative point to this book is that most of the illustrations and colours schemes make it feel as if it is marked more towards a female audience, I would have rather it of taken a gender-neutral approach. I will personally be purchasing this book for myself and many family members and friends in the future as I know so many people that will benefit from these books positive vibes.
