What Dreams We Had

Five young people are at the end of their schooldays and in the dead period between finishing their exams and getting the results which will determine what they do next. It’s a time of anxiety and a time of hope. It’s also the end of an era, because whatever happens they will go separate ways. Meanwhile there is the long summer to fill.

Out of the blue they receive an astonishing invitation. Four of them are a band. A wealthy celebrity hears them and wants them to play at an event to be held at his villa in Tuscany. All their expenses will be paid and they will be housed in luxury accommodation. It sounds too good to be true, and it is.

The four plus a friend set off for Italy, but when they arrive at the villa they find there is no one there. The location is remote, and with no transport, no internet connection and no mobile signal they are cut off from the outside world. A sequence of mysterious events begins, forcing them to review who they are, rethink what’s important to them, and wonder whether what they thought was real actually is.

It’s not until the very end that we discover why they’ve been brought to the villa and what the experience will mean for them.
