When I picked up this book, I didn't expect the author to be a physician with over 35 years of studying infectious disease all around the world.
So, once I saw that, i thought, "I bet this woman has AMAZING things to tell us all."
And she does. She brings true life experiences to the pages as she writes of making choices,, changes, and taking changes to get where you want to be.
One of the phrases of wisdom she has is "It's never too late for a do-over". That hit me hard because I think we all convince ourselves it's too late to do anything we've wanted to, but after Dr. Davis' positive words, I'm making it my new mantra.
As she discussed stories from the field, I appreciated her honest and caring storytelling as she's seen some awful things and found ways to continue stay positive.
This is a great book for anyone, especially those who might need a bit of encouragement after a big life change, graduation, or simply someone who needs to see how opportunities abound. You simply have to know how and where to find them.
