Written in a mixture of second and third person, this novel about the evil doings of the disturbed and psychotic inhabitant of Leybury Hall. This is my first gothic mystery ever and I have to say that after I got a ways in I actually enjoyed it. It is creepy and scary and told from three different points of view. The writing is great and the characters are very well developed. I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys this genre

Thanks to Net Galley for allowing me to read this amazing arc for my honest opinion..

This book is really scary. I would also call the setting Atmospheric. I would highly recommend this for any fan of thrillers or mysteries.

The Miller's are spending a beautiful holiday by the amazing sea. Hopefully for a chance to bond with each other after going through some rough times!
One day they meet a local family and quickly become in a dangerous conflict. That's when they come in contact with the owner of Leybury Hall and find out just what the Trophy Room is all about!

This was written in 3 POVs. I enjoyed the gothic horror mix. It was very intense and intriguing! Which I absolutely loved!.
The story was just exhilarating and gripping! Absolutely an edge of your seat wild read!

I can't thank NetGalley, Bleaknorth Publishing and author enough for this great ebook copy!

I loved the writing in this book. Character development is outstanding. Storyline is more than a little muddy at times - partly building suspense, but also I think partly author contrariness...lol. That's okay. It works. Mostly. The one character that became a sideways mess for me was Melissa, who was somehow promoted from story-spilling ghost to rescued live human little girl, with little to no explanation given for the preceding 'ghost' depiction. I got the feeling the storyline changed and revisions hadn't been completed yet.
Even with the Melissa story changing, it was still a solidly written book that I enjoyed. Very appealing small town coastal fishing/tourist village setting was particularly well done, with everything from clifftop castle ruins to seaside vacation rentals.

The different point of views certainly made this read more chilling that I thought it would. A word form the wise: don't read at night!

The Trophy Room is a really compelling thriller that explores the bonds of family. While some parts of this book can be a bit dark and disturbing, this is a really compelling book that keeps you on your toes.

An excellent suspense story, which shows that gratuitous and graphic violence is not necessary. It reminds me of the classic works, in the Hitchcock style, that grabs the viewer and immerses him in the story, with some perfectly designed clues to confuse the reader and force him to think about possible alternative outcomes and endings... with an outcome that is clearly presented, very logical and in which justice is finally served.
