Description

Streaming James is the second book in the Streaming Souls Mystery Series. After a failed suicide, homicide detective Katie Hanson has a rare advantage over most other homicide detectives. She can channel the dead and see through dimensions into a parallel world.

As she’s coming to terms with her new skills, she uses them to solve the cold case murder of Sarah Alexander and her two children. Stifled by the limits of her job as a public servant, Katie retires and opens Walk-In Investigations Third-Eye Detective Agency in partnership with her friend Vicki, a psychic.

Still navigating the waters of her evolving skills, Katie takes on the most personal case of her career. A case her detective father, a thirty-year veteran, could never solve before his own retirement. The horrific murder of philanthropist James Baxter. As Katie plunges into the twenty-year-old murder, her excitement turns to frustration. James rejects her attempts to channel, and her father is skeptical about using psychic abilities to solve crimes. Katie also has to come to terms with the losses in her own life that drove her to try to kill herself.

To understand why a spirit wouldn’t want his murder solved, she crosses into other dimensions and observes the powerful forces standing in her way. Katie delves deeper and exposes secrets in James’ family and recognizes the powerful bond between the victim and his murderer. Will Katie and her team be able to solve this cold case, or will her profound encounters in the hereafter cause her to let the killer go free?

This is the second book in the series and that is quickly becoming one of my all time favorites. The writing is excellent, the characters well developed and the plot is fast moving . The mystery, interaction between the main characters and paranormal bend made it hard for me to put down until I finished.

Now really. Who would not love a homicide detective who has the ability to see and communicate with ghosts? Katie opens her own agency after frustration with her department. Her new private detective agency is called Third-Eye Agency. She takes on a murder investigation which gives her more communication with new spirits and discovers secrets that the murdered people and murderer were harbouring. A really fun read with a fluid story line and believeable characters, even if you aren't a paranormal person. This is the second book in the series. I am definitely going back to read book 1.

Looking forward to the ndxt nystery to be solved psychically.
This is book 2 in the series but i found that enough of the background was told that i didnt need book 1..

This story is set somewhere in the near future where houses are run by AIs which can order your coffee, run your shower and warm your towels. And self driving cars are the norm. It assumes that much of whatcthe Theosophical society believed was right and links us into our Higher Selfs and pre birth contracts to fulfill our karmic needs.
Using these psychic and tech means the detectives find they can solve murders, partly by asking the murdered person who did it!
A solid story with enough new ideas to make it an interesting read.
