This simple but thought-provoking book for young readers will be a great addition to my classroom library. It explores the difference between easy, everyday choices and life-changing decisions. Do you want to blend in or do you want to stand out? This will be an excellent conversation starter for my first graders and I know that they will love the illustrations as much as I do!

This beautifully illustrated book gives children a gentle nudge that it’s ok to make a choice and try new things or to play it safe. The pictures are vibrant and diverse. The text is short: about one phrase per page. The illustrations tell the story and give children the confidence to realize that it’s ok to be themselves. I highly recommend this book!

Teaching the concept of choices to a young human can be challenging. How do you approach something so elusive?

This book, and its setting/illustrations at a public pool, bring the concept to life in fun, approachable ways.

Choices is an adorable book to introduce children to the idea of their personal autonomy and choices they can make. The text is fairly simple, but this would be a great book to begin that discussion with a child. Illustrations are adorable and unique. This will be a helpful book for parents and one children will enjoy.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing this ARC.
