The Humans of Ravenport and the Vampires of Storm Hill have coexisted alongside one another ever since the signing of The Treaty four hundred years ago. However, following the rebellion against Lord Harbinger, children have started to go missing. Elders suspect Vampires are feeding on them while others believe they have been abducted to work as slaves in the salt mines. The truth is unimaginably worse. A Pandora’s Box has been opened which none can close.

Thanks, NetGalley and Publisher for the opportunity to read and review! The book was a nice read as a whole. It's been a while since I've read a story with children being the main characters, Charlie, in particular, being the protag. But one of the good things about the story is that it does not focus on the protag in particular, but includes a group of very interesting characters. The takes its time at the beginning where the author slowly builds the story of vampires and humans as well as introducing the main cast of characters. May be this is where it might feel somehow slow until the plot starts moving. But after that comes the interesting part.. The story begins moving forward with a lot of suspence and mystery and even though vampires are essential part of it, the descriptions aren't filled with blood and gore, as most are used to, when it comes to vampire stories. Definitely a fun read!
Thank you Matador, NetGalley and Author for this advance ebook copy in return for an honest review! Vampires and Victims by Martin was such an interesting story! And one I enjoyed way too much! I love a good Sci-fi story! My only thing I wished it was more horror, but it was still an amazing read! The characters are complex and wonderful. The whole atmosphere of the book was great! I love every little thing about the book.... The flow of the story was continuous and I truly did not want to put this down as it was an addicting read. Thanks again NetGalley, Publisher and Author for the chance to read and review this amazing book! I'll post to my Social media platforms closer to pub date!
I love books with a creepy gothic vibe and this had everything I look for in a vampire read. It was dark, chilling and gothic I couldnt put it down
My advice... If you love vampires give this a go. It's not the best vampire story I've read but it is also far from the worst. I liked the dark chilling atmosphere. I also liked that it was set in northern England. Come on everyone who lives here knows there are vampires up north. Only kidding but it is a perfect setting. The feud becomes a bit long and drawn out. What feud I hear you say? I'm not telling read it find out for yourself. Overall I liked the book. Enjoy 3.5 stars
