"All three stories take place in Christmas Mountain, Montana. Susan’s descriptions make you want to visit the place. I also laughed and cried reading the books. You feel for all the characters.
The Christmas Compromise
Morgan Reed has returned home to her life-long dream of opening a beauty salon. Dallas Parker moved back several months before to help family. He wants to open a furniture store. They happened to rent the same business space and have to work together to open their stores because their landlady is unavailable until Christmas Eve. Morgan and Dallas have known each other their whole lives. Dallas was Morgan’s brother’s best friend. Morgan and Dallas both carry guilt for things that happened in the past. I loved how their relationship evolved. It was nice to see Morgan getting to see old friends when she came home. She struggles with the relationship she has with her mom and feels like she has to make a choice. I enjoyed this book.
‘Twas the Kiss Before Christmas
Faith Sterling is the business manager for Silver Bells Luxury Tours. She loves her job and the great outdoors. Her boss passed away and left the business to his son, Adam. Adam Kline is a PR guy in Manhattan. He wants to sell the tour company. Faith has three weeks to change Adam’s mind or she’s out of the job she loves. She has her work cut out for her because Adam is all business and constantly on his phone. I enjoyed how we got to know Adam as time went on. I enjoyed this book.
A Sugar Plum Christmas
Lacey Lane is a producer for a reality dating show. She is in Christmas Mountain to see if the town would work for shooting a season there. She literally knocks Jacob off a ladder. Jacob Curtis grew up in town and works at his parents’s place, the Sugar Plum Inn. They are complete opposites. Lacey thinks the show would be great for the town and Jacob doesn’t. I felt for Lacey since she grew up in foster care. Jacob was a softie with a big heart. I rooted for their HEA. I enjoyed this book." --Tracey, 5-STAR Goodreads Review

Featured Reviews
Another lovely quick read from Susan Hatler, perfect little trio of books, I had already read 1 and 2 in the series this month so a perfect way to finish off the stories from Christmas Mountain.
This is an uplifting and inspiring book of three stories. It is a reminder of the spirit of Christmas, that will bring up memories that you have. Like the stories, as we are reminded of happier times, life looks a little different, carrying less weight on the shoulders, and it opens you up to move forward, with a lighter step and happier heart. We often times get so busy that we forget to look around and appreciate the beauty and magic around us. Whether it is the Christmas season, or just a rough time in your life, this will be a book to pick up and read or reread, because the people in the book, had struggles, like down to her last few dollars, and didn't know what she was going to do, but she got offered a job, that was the start of her life improving, and figuring out what she needed and wanted in her life.
I received an ARC from Hatco Publishing through NetGalley.
Thank you NetGalley, Susan Hatler and Hatco Publishing for the copy of Christmas Mountain Romance Collection. This is my personal review.
This is a collection of three novels each one is as amazing as the other.
The Christmas Compromise, ‘Twas the Kiss Before Christmas, and A Sugar Plum Christmas as the three books in this collection.
Each book will pull you in and take you away for a few hours. I adore everything Susan Halter has written. She writes in a way that makes each person and every story heartwarming and makes me want to meet all the characters in her books. Morgan, Faith and Lacey are three amazing women and I would love to have them as friends.
A great collection of three Christmas romances all set in Christmas Mountain, Montana. These stories will definitely get you in the Christmas spirit. These are not novellas.
THE CHRISTMAS COMPROMISE (Morgan’s story)
Morgan Reed has moved back to Christmas Mountain after living in Miami. She's rented a space to open her C.M. beauty salon and wants to get it in shape before she finally tells her parents she did not get her MBA but went to cosmetology school instead. Things get complicated when Morgan's secret high school crush and her brother's best friend, Dallas Parker, somehow rents the same space to sell his furniture.
This is a cute story. I kept trying to picture how you'd combine a furniture store and a hair salon in the same space. Morgan and Dallas definitely have chemistry but they also have obstacles in their way--mainly Morgan's mother who blames Dallas for several things which aren't his fault. Morgan has a complicated relationship with her mother which takes most of the book to work out.
TWAS THE KISS BEFORE CHRISTMAS (Faith’s story)
Faith Sterling works for Silver Bells Luxury Tours and loves her job. Unfortunately, the owner recently died and his son Adam Kline, who lives in Manhattan, has come to Christmas Mountain to take over the business. Or so Faith thinks. Adam is there to sell Silver Bells and Faith only has 3 weeks to change his mind. If only she can get him to stay off of his phone and get to see what there is to love about Christmas Mountain.
This story made me want to visit Christmas Mountain and I don't like the cold. To see Santa's Grotto and ride in a sleigh while drinking hot chocolate, putting an ornament on The Sharing Tree in memory of someone and so much more.
A SUGAR PLUM CHRISTMAS (Lacey’s story)
Lacey is in Christmas Mountain to see if it can be used for a dating show she produces. She meets Jacob Curtis who shows her around town, but he doesn't want his small town exploited for a TV show.
This would make the perfect Christmas rom-com movie. Lacey and Jacob have a memorable first meeting. Lacey immediately falls in love with Christmas Mountain and Jacob is so sweet showing her around town, explaining the town's traditions to her, all while making hand-crafted sleds and wooden ornaments. He's so sweet and kind.
I already own the first two stories and had previously read the last story. I received a complimentary copy of this compilation from Hatco Publishing via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are my own.
What a wonderful collection of books! They are all well written and hold your attention. I loved the setting and how the author brought each book to life with her words. This a collection you don't want to miss.
