Welcome to Sugarcreek, Ohio, where the Amish schoolteacher has a determined admirer. Tragically losing her parents as a child, Lisa Miller has grown up being afraid of loving and losing. She dedicates herself to teaching at an Amish schoolhouse and helping the grandparents who raised her, all the while avoiding the advances of newcomer Paul Herchberger. I think that this is a fascinating Amish story with lessons on fear and forgiving oneself. I enjoyed reading this book by Wanda and the characters of this story. Also, included in the book are two wonderful Amish recipes that are easy to make and prepare for your own family. As with all of Wanda's books, this one didn't disappoint and is an easy read as well. If you are looking for a clean Amish read then you will love this story too.
