Grace Helena Walz is fast becoming one of my favorite authors! Her books draw you in, grab your heart and don't let go until the very end. This one is based around an MLM company that takes over a town, dividing friends and causing issues with their products. It is the story of Delilah and how your chosen family ends up being there for you more than your blood family. Delilah and her 4 childhood friends share a bond that threatens to unravel at the hands of the MLM, but survives to become even stronger in the face of the adversity. What a great story, I read it in a day. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC.

This was a heartwarming story about the power of friendship and choosing bravery even when its difficult. I loved the characters and their development and growth. The plot was well-paced and captivating from start to finish. I highly recommend this clean and wholesome read. Many thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the advanced copy of the book.

This one I read on one sitting.This was a good one, my mom, so the all kinds of mlm products back in the day.So i'm down for any kind of story about them just because I know how they can be. Our main girl Delilah, her and her 4 best friends. They call themselves the 5. They've been best friends since they were in elementary school. They are more. It's like Delilah's chosen family as she's got lots. I have issues with her own mom, dad and sister. She's always trying to keep the peace and make it nice. But it's never enough it seems, They live in a town outside of town. Atlanta called Pearl - all of the girls in the five are different-- Delilah it teaches the two year old class at the local preschool and by all accounts.She's amazing at it.But her real love is making soaps that she sells at the farmer's market on the weekends, life is just lifeing when all of a sudden Peach Pit parties start popping up all over hosted by the Darlings ( which is how they refer to themselves whence they sign up and start selling) delilah is skeptical of this new a phenomenon in town, especially after one of the Mother's complains of it, burning her lips. But the problem is, her best friend. Betsy one of the five, was one of the first in on peach pit and one of thr most loyal- delilah tries to find out about the company. But it's a very secretive, not a whole lot on the internet or anywhere really about it. Around this time, the pen pal that she's had since they were in grade school Jasper. It decides to take a break from his globetrotting journalist job and take a month long vacation in pearl, so they could finally meet in person.- who better than to investigate th peach pit business than Jasper - with a little help from her neighbor Mrs Chopra ... They set out to find out the truth about Peach Pit , along the way, there's secrets uncovered, hard feelings,, a romantic feelings., friendships fractured, and a whole lot of other things I won't spoil. But this was a fun reads and it really puts through the harm and the oversaturation that these companies can do- it's a really good book that inserts humor and love and dealing with trauma. And letting go and understanding that your chosen family is sometimes better than your real family. And that people can make mistakes.And you can start over great. The cast of secondary characters as well love the neighbor. She's my favourite.I would read a whole book about Mrs. Chopra

Pretty as a Peach was absolutely hilarious and such a good time! The MLM scheme plot was so well done, and honestly, it’s painfully relatable because I feel like we’ve all either been approached, known someone involved, or witnessed just how wild those MLM worlds can get. Grace Helena Walz nailed the satire while still keeping the story grounded and meaningful.

I loved the plot and especially the romance between Delilah and Jasper. It was sweet, charming, and the perfect complement to the bigger story. But my favorite part might have been all the women and their friendships with Delilah. The female relationships felt real, messy, supportive, and full of heart.

This book is full of Southern charm, humor, and warmth, with just the right amount of romance woven in. It’s funny, thoughtful, and incredibly relatable, especially for anyone who’s ever struggled with speaking up or keeping the peace and of course, those darn MLMs we all know well.

A great read if you love Southern fiction, strong female friendships, and need a laugh with a solid plot and some romance too! 🍑✨

This cover caught my eye in a second! But the book was absolutely phenomenal!!! I am absolutely recommending this to my book club.

Delilah has never quite fit in with her family, but she is sure she has an unbreakable bond with her four childhood friends. But that all could change when a new cosmetics company arrives in town, catching the interest of two friends and threatening Delilah's small soap making company. Engaging story about friends, family and learning to speak up for yourself.

I adored this novel full of small town, southern charm.

Delilah has always wanted to run her own company using all natural products. She is currently a pre-school teacher and uses the farmers market to sell soaps.

She has found childhood friends she has spent years together even as they each have busy lives and they have always supported each other in good and bad times.

One day at the farmers market a new competitor arrives pedaling similar products.

As some of her friends start using the competitor’s product, things change as an allergic reaction of one of their own puts them in the hospital.
At in family and friendship drama and some romance its time to grab your favorite drink and settle in.

I loved this sweet story about a small town that is a little bit rom com , women’s fiction combo in the vein of Woodson Harvey .

Grace Helena Walz’s Pretty as a Peach was such a relatable and heartwarming read. I found myself connecting with Delilah and her people-pleasing ways, especially her genuine love and care for children. Betsy’s experience with an MLM also felt very real to me—the excitement can be contagious, but the pressure to sell and recruit can be uncomfortable.

One of my favorite parts of the story was The Fives and their rock-solid friendship. Their loyalty and support for one another added so much warmth to the book. Grace Helena Walz is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors, and I loved the way she brings relatable characters and meaningful friendships to life.

When I think sisterly bonds, sweet romance, and all the beauty and bitterness of life, I think Grace Helena Walz.

This beautifully portrays the confines of motherhood, the financial struggles that comes along with raising a family as well as the false hope that MLM companies can and have presented to so many women looking to reclaim financial independence along with their own unique sense of self. The MLM bit was done exceptionally well down to the predatory nature of those sorts of companies and the pressures consultants are under to SELL, SELL, SELL!

We see how a friendship that has survived middle school, high school, marriages, pregnancies, small business start-ups is suddenly tested and teeters on the edge of fracturing as friends become “customers,” and “part of the downline.”

Not all that glitters is gold and every single one of these “peaches” will have to face each other and their own reflection as they struggle to do what's’ right in this beautifully penned, thoughtful and heartwarming novel.

This is a very quick read that simply sucks you in. Reading this is like binging “Sweet Magnolias” or “Hart of Dixie.” (Netflix).

Absolutely fantastic plot! Could not put the book down once I began reading it. Cannot wait for it to be released. I will recommend it to everyone I know!

Since reading Southern By Design, Walz’s debut, I’ve been giddy (my southern is showing) to get my hands on her two next releases. Her books, so far, have been set in the south, dealt with difficult family matters, and are full of strong females.

In Pretty as a Peach, a new MLM cosmetics company has taken over Peach, GA and is tearing apart a friend group that has been set in stone since elementary school. Each friend has their own unique relationship to the group, and their life events push and pull at the group dynamics, but nothing has challenged the group like the recent MLM takeover.

This book has two points of view, Delilah and Betsy. Delilah will do just about anything to keep the peace and meet other’s expectations. Betsy is a perfectionist who feels lost after having kids. Delilah has a homemade soap company that she dreams of making big, but when Betsy joins the MLM that competes with Delilah things turn personal.

These are characters you will easily root for. Their bond is special, but so is each person in the group. I personally really identified with Delilah as a preschool teacher myself. She constantly feels the need to be more, but she’s finds so much happiness in her teaching role.

Pretty as a Peach, by Grace Helena Walz, is a contemporary Christian story that focuses on Delilah and her best friends while they navigate their lives around the Peach Pit business. I really enjoyed reading this story, it is so good and realistic. The relationship Delilah and her friends have is so realistic. Having been friends since a very young age, these five women still find their friendship to be a very important part of their lives. I enjoyed the mild mystery behind the Peach Pit businesses the women took part in and was surprised by the background story. This story has so much substance in it. With the family dynamics within the Thomas family. I especially enjoyed how Delilah was so independent from them and how responsible she is. This is an easy-to-read story that is very well written. This is a new author for me, and I hope to read many more of her stories.

I’ve become a fan of this author. I especially love this book because it’s not a typical love story. It’s a love story showcasing how people sometimes have to outside of the family to build a family. The love those women have for each other reminds me of my own friendships. I appreciated the real world conflict on her family and how sometimes “the end” doesn’t come with a complete “happily ever after” for everyone.

A light read perfect for women looking for a heartwarming story about the bonds of friendship and how they survive being tested.

The beginning is a little clunky as Walz introduces us to Delilah and her 4 best friends. Between the friends, their spouses, and children, there are a lot of names thrown at the reader in the opening pages, and you could sort of see through the narrative to Walz' wheels turning in the background to make all those introductions. Even though this did bother me a little bit, I'm not sure there is a better way to do it. Stories like this just have the larger cast of characters; besides, once you get going, things did smooth out, thankfully.

The premise is terrific: a MLM threatens to unravel a previously tight knit friendship amongst a group of southern women.

At times the author beats her reader over the head, and I found myself wishing for a bit more subtlety. However, for the most part, I enjoyed the story a lot. It moves along nicely, and the characters are well drawn. The theme of chosen family, while not subtle, is enjoyable.

Like others have mentioned, I would love an entire book about Mrs. Chopra. She is a great character.

And as someone who isn't exactly a fan of MLM-style companies, I found the Peach Pit storyline especially satisfying 👏🍑.

Delilah's friend group, The Five has been a friends since growing up together. Since they all showed up for each other - nothing can break the Five. Until it does and Walz figures out a way to bring them back together. One of my favorite lines - "We didn't know what to say, but we did know how to be friends" Walz makes you feel like these are real people

There's betrayal and insecurity and a frightening hospital visit. And some reconciliation. Walz shows the true power of friendship.

This book is full of emotion. You will get angry - maybe a little teary. But you will feel good at the end.

Goodwin and Duke establish a phenomenal vocal chemistry, capturing the soft, melodic rhythms of Georgia prose while drawing clear, distinct lines between the bubbly, corporate MLM "Darlings" and Delilah’s grounded, witty internal thoughts. Their dual narration effortlessly amplifies the natural humor and emotional depth.

I was sucked right into this book and I loved Delilah and her friend group so much. What happens when five lifelong friends are living in their hometown and a shady MLM take over the town and a few of the friends? Drama, but drama you can't help but hope everyone gets past. This book is truly about the power of friendships and found family. Thank you NetGalley and Thomas Nelson for a chance to read this one early in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely adore Grace’s books! From the small town setting to the found family and the drama, her books pull me right in and make me want to read more. I love that her stories include some romance but there is more to the story.

Delilah has always wanted to make everyone else happy and she feels like she has never fit in with her family. The Peach Pit, a MLM sets up in town and competes with Delilah’s small business of making soaps but she is more upset when women in town start to get rashes and have health issues from the Peach Pit products. None of the “Darlings” (Peach Pit sellers) want to admit it is the products, but it does nag Delilah’s friend Betsy so much so that she starts looking into it.

The female friendships are strong in this story and I loved getting to know “the 5” and their individual stories. I am also from the south so MLM’s are definitely a thing down here and I loved reading about the scam of the MLM and how it changed their friendship dynamic in this story.

Okay, I loved this! And you all... I LISTENED to it, which is such a rare thing for me. I loved the Southern drawl in the audiobook, and I was instantly pulled into Delilah, her friendships, and then you all throw a romance in the mix?! That was the icing on the cake! Lol!

Delilah has her reservations about the newest business/beauty fad taking her community by storm. The Peach Pit, she believes, is a total scam, but it's not until it starts scamming her community and friends that it becomes personal, prompting her own investigation. But what she uncovers about the company will shake up her friendships, family, and the entire community!

I loved the community, the friendships, and the romance I got to experience throughout the story. I knew going in it would be more of a mystery/women's fiction read, so the surprise romance just added to my love for the book. I was totally pulled into the dilemma Delilah was up against and the depth of the struggles this one company was causing for so many people. This was such a wonderful story, and now I need to check out more books by Grace!

This southern family drama is exactly what i needed to change up my reading! This book had me at the first sentence. I was invested in this family and friend southern drama and I just loved the HEA ending. Along with the drama, was a sweet little pen pal romance and meddling friends to make it happen.

I absolutely loved this friend group, being together since they were young, they have stuck together through SO much, always came out better for it. The meddling, the pushing, the understanding of each other, always having each others back was super sweet. The love between an aunt and her niece was a beautiful relationship too!

Grace has me falling in love with another one of her southern womens fiction books and am such a fan for life!!

I was totally drawn into this book from the beginning and I love the gorgeous cover!!
Delilah has a group of friends that have been together for many years.
Delilah does not like conflict and has learned to just say yes to her mother even when she wants to say no. She sells soaps at the market and suddenly a competitor, Peach Pit, shows up and not only starts taking customers but Delilah's friends start working for them too. Some strange reactions to their soaps by customers and also a lot of pressure put on these new salespeople causes Delilah to investigate.
This book has mystery, romance, family drama and so much more. Loved it and Grace has become a very favorite author of mine!!

If you love books about female friendship, sweet romance, and an exploration about the insidiousness of MLM schemes, this is the book for you.

From the moment I started listening to this audiobook, I was hooked on this story.

We learn about this group of women who call themselves “The Five” - a close group of friends since childhood who do everything together. And even though we start this book in the middle of their friendship, we get glimpses of their pasts and how close they all are in the present day.

And then we slowly see their friendships slowly start to break down as their town - and their friend group - slowly become enmeshed in this MLM called Peach Pit.

I personally love stories that explore the dark underbelly of MLMs and really loved the approach this book took to them, where it acknowledged that the people who fall prey to them (and then bring others into it) are all victims of a scheme that is impossible to win.

I also loved how this book is told through two distinct POVs - Delilah who is trying to support her friend’s “business” despite how it negatively affects her own, and Betsy who is entrenched in the scheme and determined to see it work. Getting a look into the thoughts and feelings of both of these women really fleshed out this story, and even when we don’t agree with Betsy’s decisions we can still see the heart in her as she tries to correct her mistakes.

With a bit of investigative journalism and a toxic family dynamic, I really felt for Deliliah and cheered when she had the support she needed to stand up for herself.

Overall, I’d recommend this book to anyone searching for a summer read with a center surrounding friendships and the understanding that oftentimes one's family are the people you choose to surround yourself with, not those you’re born into. With an exploration into how toxic multi-level-marketing schemes target women and strain relationships, I loved how even when these close friends had issues you could feel the love holding them together.

First off, THE COVER. So so so beautiful.

This book was exactly what I needed right now. The plot and whole book idea is just so extremely fun. I love how it focused on career and different jobs and also on friendship. It’s such a unique idea for a book!!!

Being from the USA, MLMs are very common and my mom was a part of one for a few years, very similar to how the one in this book is set up, where parties are thrown in order to sell the product. So I just loved how relatable the story and set up felt!

The book did such a good job of capturing the beauty standards in southern towns as well, and I loved the contrasting characters that helped us see it as well! Mrs. Chopra was a beautiful example of the exact opposite of what Peach Pit stood for.

The romance in this book is very much a side plot, and I personally really didn’t mind that at all. Recently I have been preferring women’s fiction that has side plots of romance. And this one didn’t feel unnecessary, it really did add something to the book! And it’s also just super cute how it’s set up!

The writing style was also so good, I’m definitely keen to read this authors back list now !!!!

Grace is back again with a dazzling portrait of friendship, family, and finding your own way.I admit I did not see the ending coming and I enjoyed cheering on the ladies as they found the strength to take control of their narratives and examine the world around them with fresh eyes.

This is a story of friendship, found family, trying to figure out your place when you are different from your family, and love. The writing and the characters pulled me in and I was immediately invested in Delilah and “the 5”. They are likable characters and I want to be part of the friend group.Their relationships and the importance they place on each other, even when they disagree, touched my heart and made the story for me.

I highly recommended this book to readers that enjoy books about found family, romance, and women finding their voice.

Delilah Thomas has always lived the “don’t make waves” mantra, feeling that it’s the easiest way to keep peace in her family. All she really wants to do is to make her boutique soaps, and one day hopefully have that as her full-time job. But when mysterious LLC Peach Pit begins recruiting her friends to sell their products, Delilah begins to question if she’s just being over-sensitive, or is there something truly nefarious about this company? As more is discovered about Peach Pit, friendships are family are put to the test as to how far each will go for success, even though that may sacrifice others in the process. I absolutely loved this book - the small, souther feel of it is just perfect, and I found the characters believable and relatable. Highly recommend!
