Thank you to the author, publisher and Net Galley for providing a free ebook ARC of this title in exchange for my review.

This is really a beautiful book. I'm only seeing the ebook version, and can't wait to have printed copy in my hands to re-read, flag, note and study! (The ebook format was a bit difficult to really study & enjoy, but I'm very excited about this title when it is printed!)

I think this is a great resource for someone new to Wicca, trying to understand the basics, beliefs and symbols, but also could work as a good resource tool for those who have read or studied more extensively. There's just about everything you would want here in an easy. clear text with definitions and directions, helpful hints - from keeping a grimoire to regular sabots, to tools to casting a circle. What a gem of a book!

I would recommend this to anyone who is new to Wicca or curious about the practices, but also to someone as a resource book. When this title publishes, I will be on the lookout for a print copy for my library.

As someone who has always felt most comfortable in the forest, with nature, I connected with the author from the beginning. It's a wonderful book to start putting down the foundations in your own craft. The book is well organized and the beautiful illustrations are perfect for those who are more of a visual learner.

I loved the breakdown of the elements and then following them up with how to connect to each season. I personally feel that the seasons are the baby steps to connecting and building your craft. Lindsay Squire also connects everything to the zodiac and it adds just that little extra of connection.

Did I mention there is an entire section on herbs, spices, and flowers? Perfect for those gardeners who are looking to add a selection of herbs to accompany their spell-work and apothecary. I love how the author introduces us to 4 herbs/flowers visually and then provides us information. She then continues with 4 more, and so on. It helps the reader to not feel overwhelmed.

Overall, I definitely recommend this book to add to your witch collection. It has a great foundation and touches on a little bit of everything from ethics and crystals to empath care and shadow work.

Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC! I loved the colors in this book and the content was interesting and informative. The graphics were really nice and I thought the more illustrative pages (that almost reminded me of posters) after a text-heavy section was a great way to summarize content.

I would like to be able to review this book, but, unfortunately, I cannot open the locked .pdf. I do not have the necessary app. Hopefully, I will be able to read it and write a review once it is published. :)

first of all this book has such beautiful colorful illustrations. i like how it explains everything witch such as the laws, casting the circle, calling to the elements, and how to close. often books explain how to start but not to close. there are different spells in regards to using the different elements. the different flowers & herbs are also mentioned. metal properties & uses of pepper/salt. i’ve been fascinated with witchcraft since i was young so i was very happy to receive an arc to read. the book is informative and can be used as a great reference for beginners.

4 stars - It was really good

After reading Lindsay’s previous book Natural Magick, I knew I wanted to read this one. This was a beautifully illustrated, informative, and easy to follow book about utilizing earth magick for your craft.

This book covers casting a circle and ritual basics, the four elements, the four seasons, earth magick, crystals, divination, empath care, and shadow work. Each section is broken down into manageable chunks so it never feels overwhelming, which will be great for beginners, or those trying to get back into their craft. Also, the illustrations in each section are beautiful and I love the quick reference illustrations.

I found the section about shadow work to be very helpful because it is a bit daunting, but she easily breaks it down and provides simple, but very helpful, exercises and journal prompts to get you started. If you are wanting to start dipping your toe into shadow work but don’t up to a whole book on it yet, I suggest picking this book up and trying out the simple suggestions she provides in that chapter.

Overall, this was a very informative and beautifully illustrated book. While I am not a beginner, I am struggling to get back into my craft so this book, and her previous book, have been a very helpful start for me. I will definitely be buying a physical copy of this once it comes out.

Thank you to Netgalley and Quarto Publishing Group -Leaping Hare for a digital galley in exchange for my honest review.

Earth Magick is a great starter kit on how to better interact with the world, and the magickal properties found in it. It teaches that the earth goes through periods of rebirth and recovery, and so do we.

There is a section on each season, and it explains how to connect to each changing season and honour your own personal cycles.

The book has beautiful illustrations throughout, and they really shine in the grimoire section listing many different kinds of plants, flowers, and spices. They are organized by individual plant, and by intention for easy reference.

It speaks a little about astrology, and how the sign you are born under connects to the elements, but they also touch on a lesser-known zodiac, which is the Celtic Tree. I don’t see very much information about Celtic Zodiacs in these types of books and it’s a nice addition.

This book includes quite a few new topics which I have never explored like different purposes for salts, resins, metals and incense.

Overall, it’s a great handbook for beginner witches, and would make a beautiful addition to anyone’s bookshelf.

4⭐️- A beautifully illustrated and comprehensive guide to witchcraft that is easy to understand and apply, regardless of your experience

Thankyou to Netgalley and Leaping Hare Press (The Quarto Group) for the DRC in exchange for an honest review.

Firstly, I have followed The Witch of the Forest on Instagram for about a year now and love her content so when I saw that I could request a DRC of this book I HAD to do it!

This book was extremely informative and easy to understand. I no longer consider myself new to witchcraft as i’ve read a fair few books and blog posts yet I still found that this book educated me and gave me a better understanding of the craft, making it perfect for beginners and more practiced witches alike!

What I loved about this was that it discussed Witchcraft as just that- a craft, not focusing on any one branch of it or any of the religious elements that Wicca and Paganism add. This means that the book can be adapted to any belief or practice system and truly be tailored to your own individual path. I would definitely recommend this to people who are unsure about witchcraft, are beginners or even those who have no understanding at all as it does a brilliant job of explaining things, giving examples and activities as well as educating the reader, giving them the choice to believe and use however much or little of the information as they would like.

My favourite section in the book was the Chapter on Empaths as this was incredibly informative and helpful to me on a personal level. As an Empath myself I’ve often searched for more information and practical advice but struggled to find what I was looking for which this book provided in an applicable way!

I had to add that the colours and illustrations in this book are gorgeous- reading it on my kobo in black and white didn’t do the full colour version justice! Overall a fantastic read that I would recommend!

I love books about the occult and witchcraft, so I was excited to add Earth Magick to my collection of magical books. The cover is stunning and I love the art style-–it just makes me want to read it and display it. And it is as beautiful inside as it is out: the book is filled with gorgeous illustrations, diagrams, and charts that inspire and inform your practice.

This book covers ritual basics, the elements, the seasons, healing crystals, divination techniques, shadow work, energy balancing and more. Each section is packed full of easy to understand text and is paired with beautiful visualizations, breaking down the information and making it all super easy to understand and put into practice.

I appreciate the focus that is placed on purpose and staying present in the current moment. This book really encourages you to explore your practice and embrace your magical strengths. There are meditations and mantras that I can use for my craft. There are recipes for teas, baths, and protection spells. Also, meanings of tarot cards and healing crystals are spelled out, which are great for quick reference. Overall, this book offers a good introduction into witchcraft and helps teach you practices that will help to reconnect to mind, body, and spirit.

My favorite chapters were The Four Seasons, Mother Earth's Magick, and Divination. The chapter on the Four Seasons explains the Wheel of the Year and provides some great ideas for ways you can celebrate the sabbats throughout the year. Mother Earth's Magick was another great chapter that breaks down magical ingredients (such as flowers, herbs, spices, and salts) and their metaphysical meanings. And the divination chapter is essential for any book of magic as it presents us with techniques and tools for divining work.

What I loved about this is that it touches on so many different elements of the craft, rather than focusing on any one practice or religion. This means that the book can be adapted to any belief or practice or belief system, and can really be fitted for your own individual path.
I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in learning more about witchcraft, Earth Magick is the ultimate book for witches of any level. It is a perfect read for novice and advanced practitioners of the craft; I think everyone could learn something from this book, because it is extremely informative and easy to understand. It is a practical and comprehensive guide that helps to keep you inspired and connected to your spirituality.

It would be a great gift paired with a deck of tarot cards, a cute teacup and some tea, or a pouch of healing crystals!

You can also follow author Lindsay Squire’s popular instagram account @thewitchoftheforest and illustrator Viki Lester’s @forensicsandflowers for daily content from these two queens!

Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher, and the author for providing me with an eARC of this book, however, all thoughts an opinions are my own.

This would be an excellent primer for any baby witches. It doesn't necessarily have a lot of completely unique information, but it presents it in such a beautiful and accessible way that it would be great for beginners. It divides everything neatly into sections ranging from the elements to periods of the year, with ideas for spells and rituals along the way. I especially loved the pictures that went along with the spice and flowers grimoires. There is a lot of fun stuff in here, however, I would have thought it would have been solidly earth magick based on the title, but this is more for general use. That being said, if you are looking for a way to dip your toe into witchcraft this would be a great start.

I was sent a copy of this book for review curtesy of NetGalley!

I really enjoyed this book! It is a wonderful book for beginners. The layout of the book is concise and conducive to learning and retaining the information presented. The illustrations are adorable and helpful for visual learners.

The author states in the book that she previously practiced Wicca, and you can certainly see this come through in the book. This is not a bad thing however, especially because she makes the reader aware of when the practices that she is referring to are Wiccan in nature. The author stresses the importance of finding what works for you in your practice, which I find very comforting in a witchcraft book. There is no one way to do something and the author makes sure you know that.

I found myself taking screenshots of her spell suggestions to use later, and her short lists of common herbs/crystals/associations is very helpful for beginners. She also explains the importance of energy work and grounding yourself in a very easy way, which is nice because that concept was so difficult for me to grasp when I was just starting out.

This is a great book for beginners and seasoned witches alike. It teaches the basics very well and would be a great book to have at your disposal!

As someone with no basic knowledge of witchcraft, I found this book to be very informative. It appears to cover all the basics and gives a good overview and understanding of the topic. As such, it's probably best suited to people new to the subject, however, the absolutely beautiful graphics and colours may make it appealing to more advanced practitioners still.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for giving me a free digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is one of the best illustrated books on Magick I have ever read. Colorful and accurate the drawings and charts draw the eye into the story of the page or the meaning of the season. I am absolutely in awe of this books content and rituals. A book about Earth Magick must follow the Earth and her creatures and seasons to be meaningful. This book does that and more. Runes are discussed and how to use them in magick. The elements are reviewed and what they mean in a persons life as well as how to use them for personal change. This book is beautiful and absolutely doable. Excellent.

What a lovely little book on witchcraft, great for beginners too. As someone who's been practicing for 10+ years, there isn't that many new things but still it was a great read to get some new perspective. In this book you'll find some ritual basics, info on crystals, the seasons, runes, shadow work and so on. And can we also talk about how pretty the cover is!

This book is about magic and things you need to know to perform it effectively. It covers witchcraft basics like spell and circle casting, then goes on to a detailed look at the four elements. The chapter on the four seasons was refreshing - instead of the usual rehashing of the Wheel of the Year, it looks at how we can work with the seasons to strengthen our magical practice.

The section on Earth magic is comprehensive but doesn’t overwhelm the reader with endless lists of correspondences. Instead, there is a look at herbs, flowers, salt, gums and resins, incense, metals and crystals, in enough depth that you feel you are sufficiently informed to be able to use them in your magic.

I enjoyed the chapter on divination as I am currently learning tarot (although the book does not mention tarot; it is too large a subject), and was particularly taken by the part on divination dice, which I shall be looking into further. The chapter on empaths was very detailed and informative and I took a lot of advice from it. There is also an in-depth section on shadow work which I have not come across before in other witchcraft books and which I found very useful.

A special mention goes to the beautiful illustrations in the book. They are full colour and each section of the book is accompanied by an illustrated summary, which is good for people who prefer visuals over blocks of text. Each herb, flower and crystal has its own illustration and this made the book stand out for me from other similar books. It is definitely a good reason to buy a hard copy of this book rather than the ebook.

Overall, this book is an excellent reference and guide to earth magic; it is not a one size fits all book, but rather accepts that everyone practices witchcraft in their own unique way and attempts to address these differences sensitively, while providing a guidebook to follow. Lindsay Squire does this brilliantly, and I would recommend this book to all witches, both beginners and more experienced.

With thanks to Netgalley and Quarto Publishing Group - Leaping Hare for providing a review copy of this book. All opinions in this book are my own and the review is given freely.

This is a beautifully illustrated book that would be worth purchasing just for the full-page artwork that gives you all kinds of information about each topic. I am not Wiccan or pagan and was hoping for more nature-based seasonal content, but this is more along the lines of traditional introductions to tarot, crystals, casting a circle, runes, etc. There are short chapters with ideas on magick ideas for each season. The artwork is vibrant and beautiful.

I read a temporary digital ARC of this book for review.

**Thank you for the ARC!! All opinions are completely my own.**

This is a well-written and informative guide for beginners and experts alike. I appreciated how the author weaved in personal tales and experiences. I also thought the herbs instructive guide and seasonal guide was easy to understand. The visual design of the book is incredibly engaging, colorful, and beautiful. This book is perfect for practical use and exploration.

I will definitely be purchasing this book!

While this book did not provide a lot of new or unique information, the information that was provided was presented well, and would be good for beginners. I did find the part about the Celtic Tree Zodiac to be interesting, as I did not have much knowledge of this. The illustrations are beautiful, and I enjoyed the structure of the book. Some spells and ritual suggestions are made for the varying elements and seasons which was a nice touch. Overall this would be a great addition to any collection.
