Description

Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, anything can happen.

In this glittering and heartwarming collection, three of today’s bestselling sweet romance novelists offer up the gift of cheer for the winter holiday season.

A Christmas Do-Over by Sheila Roberts

Darby doesn’t want to go home for the holidays, but a career fail sends her slinking back to the small town she always wanted to escape. No one there is especially glad to see the former mean girl—especially not her sister, Erica, or childhood best friend, Gregory. Darby is working hard to be a better person, but has she eaten enough humble pie to make amends?

Dashing Through the Snow by Melissa Ferguson

When Willow’s boyfriend of seven years dumps her on the eve of a romantic getaway, she decides to take the two-week train trip on The Christmas Express alone. Hurt as she feels, she can’t anticipate how the hilarious rebound ride with conductor Oliver, elf Ian, and aging world adventurer Clarence will heal her heart—and renew her sense of worth.

A Perfectly Splendid Christmas by Amy Clipston

Kacey adores the metropolitan life, but when she gets away to help her sister during a family crisis and run her bakery, she falls in love with former classmate Drew. The problem: he’s a small-town man, and she’s a big-city woman. Is their love big enough to overcome such a major difference?

Curl up with your favorite holiday drink and sink into three worlds where dreams once thought long-gone are still within reach.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Thomas Nelson for my copy of On the Way to Christmas by Sheila Roberts; Melissa Ferguson; Amy Clipston in exchange for an honest review. It published October 11, 2022.
I so regret not reading this one sooner, it is the perfect collection of short Christmas stories! I loved each one for different reasons. I loved how gentle each one was, the redemption stories, the sweet family time, and a Christmas train to die for! I totally binged this one, and I would read it again in a heartbeat!

As the winter chill settles in, "On the Way to Christmas" became my delightful escape into the enchanting world of festive romance. This collection, crafted by the talented Sheila Roberts, Melissa Ferguson, and Amy Clipston, is a heartwarming treasure trove that captures the magic of the holiday season.

In "A Christmas Do-Over" by Sheila Roberts, I found myself rooting for Darby, a character navigating the tricky journey of redemption. The small town setting, with its cozy charm, serves as the perfect backdrop for Darby's transformation. Roberts weaves a tale of forgiveness, second chances, and the true meaning of Christmas that left me with a warm and fuzzy feeling.

Melissa Ferguson's "Dashing Through the Snow" takes readers on a delightful train ride filled with unexpected companions and the promise of healing. Willow's journey from heartbreak to self-discovery, accompanied by the quirky characters she meets on The Christmas Express, is a joyous exploration of love's resilience. Ferguson's witty narrative and charming characters added a layer of whimsy that perfectly complemented the holiday spirit.

"A Perfectly Splendid Christmas" by Amy Clipston brings a touch of romance against the backdrop of familial bonds and the clash of urban and small-town life. Kacey and Drew's love story unfolds with genuine emotions, making it easy to get lost in the magic of a perfectly splendid Christmas. Clipston's storytelling is a perfect blend of heart and humor, leaving me with a sense of contentment.

The beauty of this collection lies not just in the individual stories but in the seamless transition from one tale to the next. Each narrative captures the essence of the holiday season, reminding us of the importance of love, forgiveness, and the joy found in unexpected places.

As I curled up with my favorite holiday drink, these three stories became my companions, offering moments of laughter, heartache, and ultimately, the uplifting spirit of Christmas. "On the Way to Christmas" is a must-read for anyone seeking a cozy, heartwarming escape into the magic of the season.
