Accompanied by whimsical illustrations from Jennifer’s own hand, these poems reminisce on lost childhood innocence, teach gratefulness for the rain, cycle through the seasons, persevere through struggles, and rise from the flames even stronger.

Jennifer Sara Widelitz graduated with a BFA in Visual Effects from the Savannah College of Art and Design and worked as a compositor, creating special effects for film and television. She is an artist with a deep-rooted passion for storytelling in a va-riety of mediums: film, photography, writing, painting, poetry, etc. She likes to view the world as a grand storybook and can’t wait to see what adventures the next chapter brings. This is her first poetry collection, although her poetry and photography have appeared in several literary publications. Much of her poetry is based in her personal experience with autoimmunity and chronic invisible illness, writing for the rebels and warriors, the survivors of the human condition who fight all kinds of unseen battles. She is a dog lover and a cat mommy, and is rarely seen without a cup of tea or a good book.
