Romans Magnified is filled with great information about Roman life, from culture to historical. The fun part about this book is that while it's informative in an engaging way, it is almost like a Where's Waldo book with it's illustrations. They are very detailed and have a lot of "hidden" people and objects to find. I really enjoyed this and think kids will too!

This book is a great one for any budding history fans out there!

A good mix of interesting information, bright illustrations and the hide and seek element make it an interactive and fun learning experience. The book will be a great hit and kids won't realise that they are learning while doing it - bonus! I haven't seen any of the previous books by the author, but will definitely check them out in the future!

Surely a book meant for children and adults alike. Because I love it! What a wonderful way to learn about the history and culture of the ancient romans.

This is the first time I have come across a book with a magnifying glass for you to zoom into all the minute details. Because my ARC is an e-book, I could also expand every part of a page. I can imagine all the fun to be had by finding the 10 things to look for that is prompted on every page.

Every spread is filled with a whole scene of the particular topic talked about, with just enough info in words. Be aware that facts like slavery and cruel arena sports are not glossed over.

For me, a 5-star book!

I loved it!

It's beautiful and perfect for everyone who has a thrirst for anything Romans. I will surely share this one to my nephew and others.

Had to zoom-in and out to see all the tidbits of information and illustration. Just imagine looking at it with a magnifying glass on hand! Truly a pleasure to look and read and a source of joy.

Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to receive an arc in exchange for my honest review- all thoughts and opinions are my own!

Beautiful illustrations, and nice compacted info of Roman history- my 9 year old poured over it and I’ll find it useful for fun and for unit lessons for history as a homeschooling mom! Can’t wait to buy a physical purchase.

Romans Magnified is a really fun, more academic Where's Waldo? I loved the different scenes and the accompanying facts about the Roman Empire. There were a variety of characters to find in each scene; this would keep a child entertained for a while.

A cute combination of facts and find-and-seek. This has various scenes about Roman history and each scene has little icons for kids to find. The answers are at the back. Each little icon also has its own fact that accompanies it.

I read this with my two children, and we found that we really enjoyed this book.

The information was easy to read and in nice bite sized chucks. The illustrations are fun, engaging and informative and with the addition of a "Where's Wally?" type search for different items linked to the double spreads information. All the items you need to search for also have a little description to tell you what they were.

The book covers all aspects of Roman life from the senate, army to arts and naval life. There was also a lovely little who's who of famous Romans at the end with a beautifully laid out time line.

Overall we decided that we would like to purchase a physical copy for our book shelf as we loved it very much.

Thank you Netgallery and Quarto Publishing Group for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

What a fun book! I love the interactive aspect and the fact it will continue to grow with my daughter. She’s a bit young for the content, but loved the hide and seek aspect and finding all the fun little artifacts. Highly recommend for a wide range of ages.
