A young girl shares moments from her best worst day ever and realizes that the things that she thought would be the worst, actually turned out to be the best. I loved the overall message of the power of positive thinking. I also felt that it was important that the girl could recognize and acknowledge when she felt sad or upset when bad things happened. I think this is a wonderful book to help illustrate emotions to young children while helping them turn sour moments into sweet ones. I also enjoyed the cartoon-like illustrations.

Very clever little book about finding the good in everything. As the girl travels throughout her day, the worst things ever happen, but are immediately followed by the best. Great perspective for little readers!

This was a clever story that teaches children the importance of positive thinking. As adults, it's important to teach the children in our lives to always look for the good, even when they think it's the worst day. Great book!

This book was a smart way to show kids how to look on the bright side and find the positives in every day. A little girl is thinking through her day and all of the unfortunate things that happened to her. Every time a worst thing ever happens, it is quickly followed by a silver lining in the form of a best thing ever. At the end of the day she declares it the best worst day ever for all the good and bad it included. My kids enjoyed this book!

Thanks to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Oh no the WiFi has went off and we can't even watch TV as its turned black. The little girl keeps having things go wrong for her during the day then landing in some fun place to continue her adventure.
My son who 5 found this a good read and enjoyed reading this book out loud.
The illustrations are very simple and cute they follow the story each step of the way. I enjoyed how this book has a massive emphasis on the postive Mindset even when things don't go to plan.

A little girl shares her experiences of the best worst day in her life. The story comes in first-person narration with 2-3 lines of text on each page. The essence of the book is to look at the silver lining and realize that there will be something good even in the worst situations.
The writing is straightforward for kids to read and enjoy. I’m sure they’ll relate to most incidents in the book. A lot of it is chance and coincidence, but hey, kiddo books have the right to simplify a few things. Life is hard as it is.
The illustrations have a light touch and are cute. The watercolors are done with a deft yet casual hand. They reminded me of the comics with those goofy expressions. Kids look rather sweet when they smile that way. The words best and worst are highlighted on each page for little ones to easily understand the content.
To summarize, The Best Worst Day Ever is a sweet book about realizing that things can be good even if they seem bad.

This story was an absolute delight to read from the first page to the last. A tale about little people handling big emotions, the author does a fabulous job making sure young readers understand their feelings are valid and that there are ups and downs in life. The main lesson is all about looking for the silver lining and trying to stay positive even in challenging situations.

This story was entertaining and educational, which can be a tricky balance to maintain in a children’s book, and I will be suggesting it to teachers whenever possible. Mental health is such a critical part of childhood that often gets overlooked. Incorporating social and emotional education into children's picture books is a tried and true way to teach an important life skill in a way that is fun. This would be an amazing addition for classroom libraries, counselling offices and more.

This story was adorably illustrated. The text was simple, making it an easy read for a budding young reader, but the simplicity of the words did not undermine or detract from the power and importance of the message behind them. There are many parts that will make for excellent discussion points, such as what makes us upset, how we handle things when they don't go our way, feeling disappointed or jealous and moving forward after something doesn't go according to plan. This can be used in lessons about coping skills as well as character and life skills.

This was such a great story to read. It allowed me the chance to show my littles that even when something bad happens, we are able to find something just as good. Such a positive view which is perfect for kids. I enjoyed the writing style. The illustrations are adorable and light, and the message is loud and clear. This is a great story, and I would recommend it.

This is my first B.C Stephan book and I look forward to reading more books. It follows a young girl that is the life of a party who is having a day full of ups and downs. I enjoyed watching her navigate 'bad things happening' that are followed with good things happening. I believe every child will enjoy this page turner. This book is a reminder on how good things can happen even during a storm. Highly recommend

Thank you NetGalley and Books Go Social for making this book available to read now.

Talk about finding the silver lining in all the things. Super sweet story about great things from the bad things. I hope the overall message gets through to children. I hope they also realize finding money doesn’t always happen, as grand as that would be.
This story also reminded me of my own best worst/ worst best day. That’s heartwarming.

This was a really cute book with cute illustrations.

My son is seven years old and he said he rates it 12 out of five stars. So that’s a glowing endorsement.

I enjoyed reading it to him and I liked how it turned every negative into a positive and looking on the bright side was a major theme in this book.

wow it's actually so nice. this book illustrated how positive mindset works, how in every bad thing that happened to us there's actually good thing following behind if you look closely. I loved it.

YES! That's what I'm talking about seeing the good even in the bad days. This book teaches us about optimism. I want to read more books like this. Great choice for everyone.

This quick read has a girl go through her day and realise how it was full of ups and down, swings are roundabouts – losing this meant finding that, having that accident caused this bit of fortune, and so on. It's a good idea to have that mindset, it seems, that 'all things shall pass' with all things definitely meaning the good luck as well as the bad. And if we can see a silver lining to all clouds, we should be better able to just get on with life. Simple, pastel-heavy art shows the charm of the piece, if it can get to feel a little too repetitive with it's this-but-this-then-but-this storyline.

This was such a cute book about making the best out of everything. It’s a great lesson for kids, that sometimes bad things happen, but sometimes it leads to better things. My four year old really enjoyed this book. After we finished this book, she started telling me about times something happened that made her sad, but later turned out to be okay in the end. This is definitely a book I would recommend to friends with young children!

This is a great book for people of all ages! The author’s presentation on how attitude is determined by perspective is something that needs to be emphasized today. We all know people who have the “glass is half-empty” viewpoint.

While the book is written for children, having the story delivered in a read-aloud way would allow the reader to also gain the lesson this book is teaching. Thanks to the author for the efforts made to deliver this timely reminder. This is definitely a book that would work as a personal purchase or as a gift.

When I was growing up there I had the Alexander’s bad day book (you know the one with the long title). I feel like this could be my daughters version of that but I love that all of the bad situations have positive reframes. That’s a strong message to send to kids! Only part I didn’t love is the finding money and using it to get a toy they wanted - not sure that message is in line with the rest of the book.

A fun picture book about how situations can be the best and worst, sometimes leading one into the other.

I felt like this story did a really good job of showing perspective to younger readers, especially when it comes to finding good within the bad.

Thank you to Netgalley and BooksGoSocial for the opportunity to read and review.

The Best Worst Day Ever is about finding the good in even bad days. It is a really important message with gentle illustrations. It’s basically Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day with a more positive twist. The character discovers that sometimes things go wrong, and then because of that good things get a chance to happen, or that the terrible thing wasn’t really so terrible as you first thought. Highly recommend!
