Description

Quinlan is neurodivergent, with a talent for homicide.

Captain Donald Quinlan's last mission with the Ranger Wing is both a success and a disaster. Crippled and hunted, he is forced to do a deal with the Devil. Settling into his new life as an ambulance officer in Sydney, he is about to re-enter the maelstrom as two high-ranking ISIL commanders from his past initiate a false-flag double-tap terrorist attack on the US Consulate with devastating consequences.

Holden and Hoffman are Australian Federal Police narcotics investigators on the hunt for newly arrived combat drugs that are lighting up the streets and all roads lead to Quinlan. They have him cold for two murders, but nothing can prepare them for their confrontation with this lethal man and the ancient blade he wields.

Holden is already on the edge. New information about his son's death, and the incinerated children, threaten to hurl him off as he weighs the fate of millions.

The first in a series of five books, Quinlan: Homecoming by Kevin Quilligan is an action-adventure tale. Former Irish Army Ranger Donald Quinlan’s last mission in Afghanistan led to his emigration to Australia, where he is now a Paramedic in Sydney. Having been a champion ex-boxer and Karate black belt gives him unusual skills on the streets when attending to patient emergencies. Don gets caught up in a police drug investigation and then becomes a person of interest to the Australian Federal Police as well. A neurodivergent hero, who uses his skill set to escape dangerous situations, whilst attending ambulance callouts. An unusual setting for this action-man tale, yet it’s a romp of a narrative with resplendent action that makes for a four stars rating.
