Blake hopes to save his marriage with a romantic holiday trip, but he winds up taking a stranger instead…

Blake moved to a new state to chase a job that would allow him and his new wife to live comfortably, but she wanted to stay home near their parents. The long-distance relationship wasn’t easy, and when he learns that she divorced him a year ago—but continued accepting the money he was sending home—he’s hurt and angry.

Drowning his woes at a bar, he tells the bar’s owner the whole story of the trip he won, and how he learned his wife left him without telling him.

And the woman tells him to go anyway, but he already checked, he can’t go alone. So he offers her and her husband the tickets, and she reveals her ring is to keep creeps at bay and offers to go with him.
