Description

Our new favorite trope: Childhood friends. To enemies. To lovers. In a chemistry-filled debut romance.

Daniel Rosenberg and Liyah Cohen-Jackson’s last conversation—fourteen years ago at summer camp—ended their friendship. Until they find themselves seated next to each other on a plane, and bitterly pick up right where they left off. At least they can go their separate ways again after landing...

That is, until Daniel's marketing firm gets hired by the Chicago museum where Liyah works as a junior curator, and they’re forced to collaborate with potential career changing promotions on the line.

With every meeting and post-work social gathering with colleagues, the tension (and chemistry) between Daniel and Liyah builds until they’re forced to confront why they broke apart years ago at camp. But as they find comfort in their shared experiences as Jews of color and fumble towards friendship, can they ignore their growing feelings for each other?

With sexy charm and undeniable wit, Rachel Runya Katz's sparkling debut, Thank You For Sharing, proves that if you're open to love, anything is possible.

"[An] excellent, multilayered look at the experiences of Jews of color in this deftly woven story...Katz successfully portrays how romance meets real life in this terrific debut." - Library Journal (starred review)

"Rachel Runya Katz’s Thank You for Sharing is a magical love story. This is a poignant, sharp and sexy romance with the kind of complex, big-hearted characters and emotional honesty readers will adore. I loved it!" - Carley Fortune, New York Times bestselling author of Every Summer After

"This book wrapped a fist around my heart and refused to let go. Gorgeously written, with two magnetic leads, an irresistible group of friends, and a warmth that radiates from every page. Rachel Runya Katz is a true talent." - Rachel Lynn Solomon, New York Times bestselling author of The Ex Talk

"Impossible to put down! A delicious pressure-cooker-style slow burn of a romance, Thank You for Sharing contains the greatest ‘only one bed’ scene I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. Not only is the romance delightful, but Rachel Runya Katz handles the complexity of grief and trauma with the tenderest of touches, creating a safe, welcoming space for her characters and readers alike. I have no doubt that readers will fall head over heels for Liyah and Daniel!" - Alexandria Bellefleur, bestselling, Lambda award-winning author of Written in the Stars and The Fiancée Farce

THANK YOU FOR SHARING had me invested from first page to the very last - a beautifully real love story. I always love a second chance with dual point of view, and the banter, tension, chemistry and love between Daniel and Liyah was everything I could hope for! I love both of these relatable and sensitive characters and love them for each other. Daniel's softness to Liyah's prickliness. I certainly fell in love with Daniel well before Liyah knew she did. I mean, asking if Liyah wants him to kiss her and thanking her for trusting him - man after my own heart!

Liyah, who had already lost trust in Daniel fourteen years ago and after a traumatic experience with someone else, loses trust in most people, relationships in general, and doubts the idea that she is even lovable due to her grouchiness and "brokenness." To see what it takes Daniel to navigate a relationship with Liyah and how responsible he is in their relationship was quite beautiful to see. And to see that it was Liyah's grouchiness, her being her "unlovable" self that was what Daniel fell in love. And yes Liyah is stubborn, but she has her reasons. To see how much she evolves and grows throughout the story was lovely to witness.

Very strong character development. I even enjoyed all the supporting characters, which hardly ever happens. If only everyone in the world had a Kayla or Neen in their lives to help people with their feelings!

This book addresses trauma, relationships, consent, and mental/emotional health in such a tasteful, powerful way that I feel this book should be a required reading for teenagers in school!! What a remarkable debut for this author and can't wait to see what this author does next!

Thank you to St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Oh my gods, this book was such a breath of fresh air. I don't know what about it busted me out of my reading slump other than it was so well written and well developed.

This book sucked me in from the very first page and kept me interested the whole way through! Normally with books I get kind of bored or too comfortable where I can predict where it's going. With this book it didn't even occur to me to auto-predict the next set of text because I was too busy enjoying myself.

Liyah was such a badass and so very realistic that it was easy to connect to her and become invested in her story but then the same goes for Daniel! This book had a lot of diversity and mature themes that felt very well done and were extremely true to life, the author did an excellent job incorporating a variety of life experiences in an organic way.

I just really love this book a lot. I am so excited for the release!

Thank you Netgalley for providing a copy of this ebook in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this book so much! And don't be fooled by the beautiful cartoon cover, it was a deep romance story which such wonderful representation. I also really enjoyed the reverse frumpy sunshine vibes - I find myself to be more like Liyah and it was wonderful to be able to read from her perspective.

I FREAKING LOVED THIS NOVEL!!! Ahh, thank you so much to Rachel for allowing me to read it way in advance, I enjoyed every moment of it. Liyah and Daniel have my heart, they were two adorable characters who went through tough personal journeys and through the trials and tribulations from their collective past, and healed together. It was really funny and heartfelt, and I truly enjoyed the ending of this novel. I also loved the diversity in this novel and how it was written in so naturally. It makes you realize (even though I have been stressing this for so long loll), that IT'S NOT HARD TO TELL STORIES OF THOSE WITH DIVERSE BACKGROUNDS!! And Rachel Runya Katz proved that. I also enjoyed the little educational moments in here regarding to both Liyah and Daniel being Jewish and what celebrations of their holidays entailed; I just thought that was really enlightening and nice. Overall, I truly enjoyed this novel, and look forward to seeing more of what Rachel has under her sleeve.

This was easily one of the best romances I have read this year! Lately romances have not been hitting as good, because authors are just trying too hard, but this book was effortlessly amazing! The characters were well written and developed, and the characters romance had me on the edge of my seat. Loved this :)

Thank You For Sharing is an exceptional love story that centers two people grappling with pain and loss who manage to find each other and a second chance amidst all of that. I was grateful to read it; it centers experiences that I have not seen centered in romcoms before, and I think it’s a powerful thing to craft a book that is able to deal honestly with some of the most difficult things we might face and still remain hopeful about love and relationships. Daniel and Liyah were both so compelling in their experiences. Biracial and queer Jewish people deserve romcoms! As do people grappling with the death of a loved one and with a history of surviving assault. The content warning frames this perfectly and succinctly.

I will reread this book when I need it; I particularly appreciated a scene that authentically and lovingly depicts the height of joy in a budding new relationship as well as the baggage of emotional turmoil that does not just automatically disappear. We all are, even in our best moments, the combination of all of the wonder and the pain that it is to be human in this world. This book is beautiful, and it made me smile, and it felt like it healed just a teeny tiny broken part of me to read it.

Thank you to St. Martin’s Press for sharing the eARC of this! (I guess what I’m trying to say is Thank YOU for sharing, and Thank you also to Rachel Runya Katz for writing this book.)

Thank You For Sharing is a brilliant debut full of longing, healing, delicious banter, and beautiful rep. Written from dual POV, we get to see these 2 navigate a complicated relationship that started out in a sleepaway camp, ended in tragedy, and started anew due to being paired at work. Sexy, sweet, and funny, this is a must read!

Absolutely loved this debut! As a twenty-something myself, I felt like Rachel wrote a novel true to people of the age and penned an incredibly realistic tale of what it looks like to fall in love nowadays. The banter and quips were unreal and there was a beautiful balance to the softness and sharpness of Daniel and Liyah's relationship. The side characters shone and I am just so pleased that I got to spend so much time with these characters.

The Jewish rep in this book is so incredibly done, but even without that, I'd be singing its praises. Oh my god, the swooning. Being stuck together. It's just all the comfort read tropes together. Adored!
