Thanks to Netgalley and Helvetiq for the ARC of this!
A nice introduction to trees with cool illustrations, I read this with my 6 year old looking over my shoulder at the images. It felt accessible for most ages to get something out of it. I really enjoyed the illustration style and think it would be a helpful one to keep around for reference.

I requested to read this novel solely because my husband is an arborist; I did a random page fact check with him and it was all true! I really loved how this was laid out and illustrated. I learned so much about trees and their lifecycles/spans. I also learned about leaves and seeds and fruit. The colors are vibrant and the facts are concise. Highly recommend this one for any nature lovers/hikers/tree huggers.

This is a great resource for those wanting to learn more about trees. The images are detailed and so is the information given. I also liked how the author added blurbs about the history or usage of some tree species, such as how to extract syrup from the sugar maple.

Excellent tree guide to use out in nature, with scouting troops and eco clubs, and in the classroom. It starts with the basics of tree biology and ecology before moving into the tree portraits. These entries have simple, easy-to understand illustrations to help young readers identify trees any time of year, an identification guide for defined characteristics, and "not to be confused with" info to help distinguish species that look similar. Summary sections in the back help with comparing lots of leaves or flowers on a single page. It is all really well-organized and kid friendly. Highly recommend! I'm ordering a hard copy that we can use on walks this spring! Thank you so much to the publisher and NetGalley for the chance to read early. I'd love to add this review to Goodreads, but can't find the American edition.

This book contains everything about trees one would want to know, all in a colorful, easy to browse format. The reading level is perfect for middle school and there’s a perfect balance of text and images.

Amazing! Arbororific!
I learned so much about trees and tree ID.
Highly recommend for a late elementary or middle grade reference/nonfiction read. I ate this up as an adult, but I also would have love it in middle school. The illustrations are simple but detailed and so full of life.
