"Kid Beowulf has always been a great introduction to famous figures of the Dark Ages, and with Songs and Sagas, Fajardo continues to deftly weave together history, legend, and his own invention to create funny, exciting stories that will captivate you readers."

– Chris Schweizer, History Comics

"Fajardo proves he’s just as talented at short stories as he is with his larger epics. These ‘lost tales' enrich his world-building and give us a chance to get to know his eminently-likable characters a little better.”

5 short stories middle schoolers love. Kid Beowulf continues to pack its saga with adventure. Readers will slay this graphic novel with its fast-paced, action-filled hazardous tale. Graphics flow and lead readers through the story with ease. The colors are vibrant and enjoyable to view. Some gore, some violence, but Middle Grade worthy!

Kid Beowulf - Songs and Sagas is the next book in the Kid Beowulf series. This time, it is filled with short stories that take place in between the main Kid Beowulf books - from the tale of how the Dragon lost his eye to Beowulf and Boudica's friendship and travels, and everything in between. Songs and Sagas covers all the side quests that didn't make it to the main stories.

As with the remainder of the Kid Beowulf books, Songs and Sagas is a colourful graphic novel, drawn on the classic Western style that hearkens back to Asterix and Tintin (rather than the current popular Manga-style illustration). It's witty and clever and full of historical detail.

My kiddo loves the Kid Beowulf , and this one was no exception.
