Description

Life’s funny. One minute you're jobless, deep in debt and on the verge of eviction; the next you’re in a fight with a monster and getting a job working for a Paranormal Detective with the head of a Jack-o-Lantern. It’s an age-old story.

In one afternoon, Ellie discovers that monsters are real, she has latent psychic powers, and a well dressed man with a pumpkin for a head wants her to be his partner. It’s a lot to take in. Now the clumsy but determined Ellie and her Pumpkin-headed boss Ichabod have to team up and fight the things that go bump in the night.

Before she can say “boo,” Ellie finds herself tangled up in a magical world where monsters are real, demons tend bar, and psychic conversations take place in a super unsettling mystical void. And there are even more dangerous forces at work, just out of sight.

This volume collects Season 1 of the bewitching WEBTOON comic Third Shift Society.

I was hooked from the start! This is a great start to a new mystery series and I can't wait to read more! Ellie is all of us discovering magic & a pumpkin headed man for the first time! I can't wait to see how Ellie & Ichabod uncover more about Alice and work to set things straight.

I loved this graphic novel, it was a fun, creepy ride almost the entire way through it. My only complaint is that I finished it too quickly, and I am excited for the second!

I love this Webtoon and am so excited to see it getting published. It is a fun paranormal mystery that I cannot wait for the next chapter. It's an interesting and unique story that I'm still trying to unravel.

I am a huge fan of WebToon Comics (especially Lore Olympus), but didn’t know this gem existed. It follows a girl named Ellie who is unaware of her psychic ability who is down on her luck when it comes to jobs (we’ve all been there), and happens to fall into a position with a Pumpkin Headed investigator named Ichabod who helps people who have issues with the paranormal. I enjoyed the dynamic between Ellie and Ichabod, the graphics were visually appealing, and the stories that go on throughout were entertaining with an overarching story that left you hanging on at the end.

I am so happy that I got to read and review this one. The cover pulled me in. A dude with a pumpkin head, I knew I had to read it. The story was so interesting. The magic is so neat. I cannot wait to read more about it. I am hooked. There was some creepy stuff and lots of action. There was even a vampire! If you love all of these things then this is for you. Thank you to NetGalley and Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

This was such a fun ride! Rather episodic, but very enjoyable. I'd honestly read a few hundred more pages about Ellie and Ichabod. (Or watch a TV show about them!)

Beautiful art and very fun story to go with it! I picked this up purely because of the artwork and it did not disappoint. There is a cliffhanger which I don't mind.

Why haven’t I read this sooner?! Oh my goodness it was so good! I got a digital copy of this sent to me from netgalley and I just want to say thank you so much because I’m hooked! The story and the art in this one was fantastic and I can’t wait to see where the story goes.

So our main character finds out after losing yet another job that she isn’t a screw up she is magical. So with learning to control her new abilities she works with a paranormal investigator who just happens to have a pumpkin as his head, and together they solve cases and vanquish monsters. This was such a fun read and I loved learning about all the different creatures that are secretly in their world… also please judge me for this but pumpkin man is actually kinda hot okay🙈 highly recommend checking this one out!
