This is the cutest book! It talks about valentine's day, but you can read it throughout the year. This would be a wonderful classroom read aloud and then talk about friendships.

A very sweet and simple story that can be relatable to many children even older kids. Otter is shy and lonely and he learns a valuable lesson. It's alright to be alone sometimes if it makes us comfortable, but we are never alone. Others can be noisy and sometimes overwhelming, but they are still our friends because they accept us as we are, quiet, shy, and second-guessing. A great Valentine's book for children.
I found the artwork very pleasant, the page design great and the font size perfect. I like the characters and how large the illustrations are.
Thank you Netgalley and publisher for this e-ARC.

This charming book by DK publishers is a welcome addition to books celebrating Valentine and friendships. Otter is a shy otter but learns to be brave and ask for help in finding Ottilie, an otter who loves the quiet. Children can rest assured that being alone doesn't always mean loneness. A highly recommended book just in time for Valentine with a happy union of Otto and Ottilie.

This is a really cute picture book. I liked that the ending was that it is okay to be alone. The ending felt slightly too quick, but I enjoyed the story overall. It will be a cute addition to my library's collection.

Otto the otter likes to play by himself while other otters prefer to play with each other. One day Otto sees an another playing by herself. He swims over to introduce himself and play with her. This story is perfect to teach little ones that sometimes it is okay to play by themselves. Then, if they want to play with others it’s also important to introduce themselves. The illustrations are very cute. Highly recommend for little ones.

Thank you NetGalley and DK Children for sending me an ARC in exchange of an honest review of the book received.
