A beautiful read that celebrates the selflessness and unconditional love of a mother, as well as the lifelong bond she has with her child. The book packs an emotional punch despite its short length and reminded me of my own mother. Even at this age, she's the one I want to tell first whenever I have good news 🥺

This book was so beautiful, I found myself tearing up by the last page. It depicted all the stages of motherhood in such a realistic and love filled way. This book and it's message could be read and felt by anyone but it was extra heartwarming to read a book that depicts the mother and daughter relationship in such a beautiful way. I highly recommend this book and it would make a lovely gift to a new mom.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Call Your Mother by Tracy Gold was super cute book from the beginning till the end, with beautifully colourful illustrations throughout that was very eye catching especially for small children.

It is a heartwarming tribute to the timeless bond between mothers and children, from infancy to parenthood.

It was a book that touched my heart especially as my mum is not here now with us. Sometimes I just want to pick up my phone and call her. So many missed opportunities that was missed when my mum was alive and now regret so this book tore my heart from my chest.

It's a book to read and hopefully learn.....You mum or someone close to you will not be here forever.....So treasure the time you have with them.

Oh boy, get ready for all the feels with this incredibly sweet children’s book. My favorite children’s books are ones that have great messages for my little ones but also hit differently as a parent reading it to them. This hit me as hard as “Love You Forever” by Robert Munsch. Having just had a little girl of my own, it was the perfect book to let my little girl know she can and should always call on me. But then as it shows the little girl growing up and having a baby of her own, my emotions were punched in the gut as I realized this would happen to me and how I’ll always want her to call on me.
Combined with the adorable illustrations, this will be a hit children’s book.

Thanks NetGalley and the publisher for this eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Sobbing. I am sobbing. Motherhood is hard- and I feel like this book could be the next generation’s “Love You Forever”. It’s simple. It’s sweet. It’s everything a gift for a new mom should be. Get it for your daughter, your sister, your best friend. Get it for the first time mom or the mom of many. Every mama needs their mama and this book gets to the heart of it. Thank you NetGalley for the ARC- this one is going on my go to gift list!

"I would call my mother too"

Be right back, calling my mother immediately

Wanted to take a dip in some children's fiction/picture books since I rarely get the opportunity to sit and enjoy it and I'm so glad I did here. The artwork was beautiful and the prose had me holding back tears

There is no relationship like that between a mother and daughter and it's shown so beautifully here.

Will be purchasing to keep in my library in the future

This was such a special book, and a beautiful tribute to the bond between children and their mothers. I loved the way the book grew with the child, through fears, celebrations, and confusion.

The illustrations were beautiful, textured and flowing at the same time. I loved following the Siamese cat in the background.

The prose was simple, beautiful and lyrical, and the ending had me in tears. A reflective and moving story that I think will connect with readers of all ages.

Thank you Familius and NetGalley for a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed are my own.
