Description

Have you ever woken up from a nap feeling a little peckish for adventure?

When Oscar the Rabbit is rudely awoken by his grumpiest and very best friend, McTavish, he insists they go on a trek.

The two have very different ideas about what makes for a good adventure, but nonetheless, the Scottish rabbit hops behind his friend through the prickly brambles, over the hillock, past the Kingdom of the Queen Bee, all the way to a cornfield across the river.

There, they find unexpected treasure …

Excellent snacks …

And a loud, scary, corn-eating monster … also known as a combine harvester.

This story of friendship and fun is sure to bring laughter when read aloud to children ages 3–5, but also works brilliantly for early school readers. Perfect for fans of Winnie the Pooh and The Gruffalo!

This is a fun adventure book featuring our 2 favorite rabbits Oscar and McTavish. It is a story of true friendship. Oscar and McTavish decide to go on an adventure together. They leave their area of the forest and go on to meet the Queen of Bees, walk over a log over a river and end up in a cornfield. Oscar is thrilled because he can eat and take a nap. McTavish is let down this is not his kind of adventure. Little does he know in the next few minutes it will be the adventure of his life time. I loved the loyality of the rabbits to each other in this book. the illustrations were fun and engaging. This is the third book in the series I have read and my favorite.

A Good Adventure, was a very cute and funny story about a friendship between Oscar the sleepy adventurous rabbit and Mctavish his grumpy friend. Talks about how they each like different things and different adventures, but how even with the differences they are still friends and they look out for each other’s safety. Had me laughing at the antics of these two.
Thank you NetGalley and Oscar Barry for the ARC and an opportunity to review this book.

There is a wry humour that flows through the words chosen in this book. It made me smile and my little one giggle out loud. Annoying loud snoring is funny, loud combine harvesters chasing you is funny and kilt and jacket wearing animals are funny! The book is well told, with suitable repetition and word use. The different types of adventure and the friendship of Oscar and McTavish is lovely, a bit grumpy but ultimately they care for each other and save each other.
