I actually loved this. It's different and so refreshing to see something new. I love how the whole design, illustrations and chosen words fit so perfectly with the Victorian period theme 🪦🧸

I really like the artwork in this book as it is very detailed and in the Victoran style. The book itself would be more geared to older children 13 and up. I would not read this to a younger child. I like that there are new words even I did not know and the definitions after the word is shown. This book would be nice for a Halloween party for older children and adults. I think the author was clever in the concept and hit the morbid theme on hands down.

I received an advanced reader's copy of this book from netgalley in exchange for a honest review.

I loved this little book! I loved the words and the illustrations and I cannot wait to get a copy for my niece- I have always loved Edward Gorey style artwork. I even ordered myself the tiny crumb ghastlies. This book was perfect

Wow. This was super cute and incredibly informative. I think the title "morbid" had me worried but it was a beautiful medical lesson tossed in with some accurate and albeit gross words too. I dunno what I was expecting but I loved it. I'm going to buy it for my kids when it's release!

This book was absolutely morbid. I loved it! Would not allow young kids to read. The kids would not understand any of the meanings of the word even though there is a description. I learned a lot about when reading the book. The illustrations were also pretty.

I received a free copy of the book and is voluntarily writing a review

The Morbid Alphabet Book is a refreshingly unique take on the classic ABC book. With its wonderful illustrations and clever pairing of letters with morbid words, it manages to strike the perfect balance between education and entertainment. It's not often that you come across a book that manages to be both informative and delightfully dark. I thoroughly enjoyed flipping through its pages, and I have no doubt that it will grab the imaginations of young readers everywhere.

Alright, young minds, buckle up because The Morbid Alphabet Book is about to take you on one heck of a ride! Who said learning the ABCs had to be all rainbows and sunshine? This book throws that notion out the window and embraces the dark side with open arms. From creepy crawlies to eerie encounters, each page is a wild journey through the morbid and macabre. But hey, it's not all doom and gloom – alongside learning their alphabet, kids will be expanding their vocabularies like never before! So if you're tired of the same old ABCs, grab a copy of The Morbid Alphabet Book and prepare to be pleasantly spooked!

I love the morbid and macabre so this was the perfect alphabet book, I think this would also be great for little ones to read to expand their vocabulary as in my opinion learning about morbid themes is definitely not a negative thing.

This was a cute and informative book. It acually gives some really good information that may be weird to ask about. I know some of these facts I have wondered about myself. If I had young kids this would be a great Halloween addition, or anytime really. Definitely one to check out.

A children’s book after my own morbid heart! I love spins on alphabet books, especially one that leans into the macabre. The illustrations were great, I love the stuffed bear being the main patient 😆 I also appreciated that a lot of the words weren’t well-known or easy choices, I learned a bit there!

The Morbid Alphabet book by Gabrielle Ferrara is great fun. The choice of less common words is inspired and the only thing I would adjust would be the colour of the bones in the letters but the graphic styling is delightful

Thank you to Netgalley, and Gabrielle Ferrara for this fantastic ARC. My review is left voluntarily and all opinions are my own

This was so cute, I definitely have to buy a copy for my littles. I love the Victorian gothic aspect. The illustrations were the cutest version of macabre they could be. I also learned a couple new words myself reading this. Highly recommend for you lovers of weird or unusual. It’ll fit right in on our bookshelves.

I loved this. I loved the art, I did enjoy the charming morbidity of it. I also liked that it gave definitions of the words, and showed how to pronounce them. This is a book I would love to own.

M is for Macabre indeed! This is a cute little book for all the cool morbid kiddos out there. Would be perfect for my little 5 year old weirdo. I even learned a couple new words myself.

First of all thank you so much to the publisher and NetGalley for allowing me to read this beautiful Morbid Alphabet Book. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS BOOK. I wish I had this book when I was growing up. I have always been fascinated in the morbid. There were even some words in the book I had never known of. So even adults can learn from this Alphabet book. Love love love it. I don’t know why this one isn’t more popular yet.

I just received permissIon to pre screen this book. I mainly chose it as I was drawn to the cover; I’m a funeral industry graduate, married to a retired director, and sis to another. All there’re of us can’t wait for it to be released because we already have several people picked to received it as a gift. Not overly dark or morbid, but does explain some of the darker aspects in a simple but not frightening way. I (as well as others in the field) wish death wasn’t such a off limits topic, and more books were available (that aren’t as outdated)

Not a kid's alphabet book, but a fun and somewhat disturbing alphabet book. Mind you, I liked it, and learned some new words, which I likely will never use, but the book is morbid and diverting and nicely done and fun and enjoyable. But it IS morbid. Was this the alphabet book that Edgar Allen Poe was weaned on?

As a huge Edward Gorey fan, I was excited to see this book was available on NetGalley. I wasn't disappointed! This book is a lot of fun, and I even learned some words I never knew. This would be a fantastic gift for friends with a dark sense of humor. Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this

I loved this one! Quirky books for children - yes, okay, probably an older child - are my faves. The illustrations were beautiful and the breadth of the vocabulary covered was really great. I think a lot of kids and parents would enjoy this one together, and honestly, even some child-free adults would like to have this book!
