What a beautiful and charming book!! I’m already a big believer in romanticizing your life, so this book was just perfection for me. I love the idea of slowing down, incorporating romance, and finding the joy and beauty in the every day. There were tons of ideas, and the watercolor illustrations were sweet and whimsical. Loved it!
This is a lovely coffee table / novelty book for the independent woman in your life. It would be a great galentine's gift or housewarming gift.
Beautiful watercolor pages throughout and then a celebration of living life with what the author terms romance—imagine Audrey Hepburn, Taylor Swift in her "Begin Again" video, or cozy village romance novels. Rose colored glasses, hygge year round, if you will. Anthropologie & Paris vibes.
It’s a good idea. The explanations are cute and they do put a good spin on things that I wouldn’t have given a second thought to.
This book was so nice and cozy and magical. I loved how it was divided into bite-sized ideas of different ways to romanticize the every day and how it covered so many different areas of life. The illustrations were beautiful and charming and the perfect pairing for this book. It will make such a nice, beautiful book to gift to loved ones.
Absolutely adorable. I throughly enjoyed reading through this book and taking in the beautiful artwork.
The author has done such a great job of describing all the senses in details.
I could smell the cake, feel the sun on my skin, taste the flaky pastries…
This book is a reminder that there is romance in every day things. If we can’t find the romance, we can create our own romantic experiences.
Short and lovely ready.
I have always loved the idea of romanticizing the sometimes-mundane moments in life. In ‘Romance the Every Day’, Andrea Kasprzak provides 52 different ways to turn everyday moments into something more magical. What a fun idea for a book! I loved that she really emphasized how subtle and simple romance can be, and how important it is to find romance in things when the news, social media, and everything else can be so full of fear and hopelessness. I found myself audibly saying “yes!” and “love that!” throughout almost the entirety of the introduction. There were so many sentences I wanted to highlight or underline.
As someone who is (or at least feels like she is) still a relatively new mom, so much of my life feels like it’s running from one thing to the next. There are days when it feels like I have no time to take a deep breath, let alone find the magic in the moment. This book was a wonderful reminder to make time for even just a few seconds to pause, readjust, and take in the quiet beauty of whatever I’m doing.
The artwork in this was also so charming! I can see this being the perfect little coffee table book or an addition to a gift basket for a new home. I know that I’ll be taking several of the recommendations from this to heart.
A hopeful manifestation for a romanticized life of little moments. Taking every page of this book and making it a list to live by!
The layout and font selection was beautiful.
I enjoyed that most of the ideas in this book were either relatively cheap or free, because the barrier to access for pleasant activities can be really difficult to navigate. Also the artwork was super cute!
This is adorable. Everyone could romanticize their days a little bit more. This could be the perfect gift for just about anyone! It’s a reminder to slow down and enjoy your days!
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this arc ebook in exchange for an honest review.
I adored this book! Such a fun list of different ideas to make the mundane days of life special. I enjoyed every minute of it and will be putting many of the ideas into practice.
When a friend of mine was going through an especially rough patch, I told her that I thought she needed to reintroduce joy into her life. (In the moment, for this particular person, the advice made sense.)
This book would have been the perfect accompaniment to that advice. Gorgeous illustrations and practical advice on falling in love with the day to day in your life.
Thanks to NetGalley - the author- and the publisher for the arc/and the opportunity ro review.
I love the idea of this but at first I didn't get it. Once I understood it, I fell in love. This is such a fantastic book that anyone could benefit from!
You can improve your life experience by taking trying out the things here, and you won't need to spend money. It's about taking advantage of the life you already have.
Head up to the roof for a different perspective! Head to the library or a used bookstore. Read a picture book for a different perspective. A whole book full of these perfect little ways to get the most out of life.
The pictures have soft lines and colors, helping create the mood.
Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this
Pros: I loved this book's mission of adding joy (and a little luxury) into the ordinary. I especially appreciated that the ideas in this book are actually doable . . . and are luxurious without being expensive. This book celebrates some of my favorite things--jammies, libraries, bubble baths, swings--and reminds me to take the time to appreciate and enjoy those little things.
Cons: None that I can think of!
Thank you to NetGalley and Chronicle Books for the opportunity to read this book.
What a cozy and beautifully written (and illustrated) book! I really want a physical copy to be able to reference on the days when I feel like life has been lacking a bit of romance, so I can incorporate some of these practices into my life.
What a beautiful little read! Kasprzak eloquently details 52 practical ideas to make your life more romantic, from pajamas to rooftops. The illustrations are whimsical and relaxing. I’m hoping for a Part 2 to continue learning how to make my life more romantic.
This book is adorable! I looked over it & did the first week suggestion of “romancing” my life. It felt so good! I cannot wait to see how my life looks & I feel about it a year from now. The illustrations a nice & made looking through the book really enjoyable. The author’s writing style is beautiful & romanced the topic of self care.
I expected many things starting this book.
I expected fun suggestions. I expected some pretty illustrations. What I certainly did not expect was the beautiful writing that came along, a writing that made the experience of reading this romantic in itself! The authors mentions to her own personal life and her friends certainly helped her feel closer to the reader making the book more intimate which worked extremely well for me!
The suggestions in this are so many, can be applied in so many different ways, with or without company, and with no need of a high budget, the author makes a clear point of how easy it is to romantize your life no matter the circumstances!
Absolutely stellar!
This book was such a delight! This is definitely a book that I want to purchase a physical copy of so that I can read it again and again. I absolutely love the concept of this book, and unsurprisingly, reading this just made me feel so happy and excited to incorporate these small practices into everyday life. Thank you to NetGalley and Chronicle books for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This book was so cozy. It's the perfect book to curl up with a cup of hot cocoa in bed or in the bath and take in all the beautiful and cute images and ideas to make life a little more special.
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the ARC!
This is a great book for those feeling burnt out and wanting to connect back with themselves and the world around them. It features recommendations of ways to revel in the little things and slow down to appreciate beauty. The author has a short write up with every recommendation which I appreciated. It’s a love letter to being human and living life. If you are wanting to romanticize your life but are overwhelmed on where to even start, this is the book for you.
Romance the Every Day, by Andrea Kasprzak, is a lovely book I enjoyed paging through. The illustrations were beautiful and the suggestions for ways to add romance into your life were thoughtful and would be easy to implement. Highly recommend.
okay, i love the little drawings/paintings within this book to go along with the tips. I feel like this book is perfect for someone looking to add a little more romance into their life. I wish I had a significant other because I would totally go down like a list (which is why I like the beginning table of contents section that looks like a check sheet). I really like this cute little book, I think the cover could be a little more enticing to the reader.
I absolutely love this concept of self-care. Who doesn't want some romance in their lives? And who better to give us that romance than ourselves! I very much enjoyed all the ideas of things to do and ways to find a little bit of romance every day. I loved the artwork! This book would make an amazing gift.
Thank you to the author, publisher, and Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this ARC!
Romance the every day
Defining romance as loving the moment, not necessarily another person set the stage for me to think differently about romance. Viewing the concept this way is a combination of mindfulness and self-care, and I love it!
I like it when a book makes me pause and take notes. I noted ideas I would like to try and ways of thinking of things that I would like to adopt.
As each idea of adding romance every day was explored, suggestions were made as to how to implement them, things you could do by yourself or with others. I will definitely be including the author’s advice in my everyday life.
This book was lovely. The artwork was pretty and the suggestions to put some romantic moments in the everyday were fun and pretty easy to include. I believe in romance in relationships but also for single people who desire luxurious moments on a random Tuesday.
This is like a workbook helping you to love your life. There is an idea for 52 weeks out of the year. Self-care ideas, how to pamper yourself, I loved it!
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
A short & sweet book that implores us to enjoy the little things in life. Maybe this wasn’t everyone’s takeaway but to me I think this book was about being grateful for the things we do have and to appreciate what’s around us. A lovely reminder.
Thank you to NetGalley and Chronicle Books for this eARC in exchange for an honest review.
A sweet guide with beautiful illustrations on ways to indulge in romanticizing your life.
From food to activities to self care routines- this is a lovely book of ideas on taking care of yourself.
Not only offering ideas, but why they matter. How they make you feel, how they affect your senses, how to elevate regular tasks, and how to share these experiences with others.
My birthday is just after the pub date, and I will absolutely be asking for this book 💛
Thank you to NetGalley for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.
This book is definitely unusual. The suggestions of the author are ways to bring your life into clearer focus. We get so busy in our world that we often bypass all the little details around us. The author tries to awaken our inner self to pay more attention to life. Some suggestions are out of my comfort zone, e.g. dance at the grocery store, but her point is to loosen up. I truly believe that this book will best suit people who are searching for something more meaningful in their lives. Most of the advice given reminds me of what a therapist might offer to her clients.
I received a copy for free from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.
This is a great book of inspiration! Romance the Every Day
Inspired Ideas for a Year of Little Luxuries
by Andrea Kasprzak is useful for singles and couples. With an idea for each letter of the alphabet, these are great ideas or reminders to treat Yourself. In a world full of "Self Care" promotion, these really are the easy, inexpensive or free ways to take care of yourself and relax & recharge, and invigorate your day & life! Quick and easy read!
A very cute and beautifully illustrated guide to inspiring romanticism into your life, without the over-the-top nature you to tend to get from influencers doing the same on Instagram or TikTok. Lots of ideas to try out, and makes for a cute coffee table book as well!
I've always loved the idea of finding magic in everyday life. In Andrea Kasprzak's book 'Romance the Every Day', she explores 52 ways to turn normal moments into something enchanting. Such a cool concept for a book! I really liked how she talked about how romance doesn't have to be big and flashy—it can be simple and subtle, which is so refreshing in a world filled with scary news and social media doom. As I read the intro, I kept nodding and saying "yes!" and "love that!" to so many of her points. There were tons of sentences I wanted to highlight or underline.
The artwork in the book was super cute too! It would look great on a coffee table or as part of a housewarming gift. I'm already thinking about trying out some of the book's ideas in my daily routine.
This book is incredible, lots of rushing around in the average every day life. The author wrote of many instances of moments you can imagine stopping to take in and utilize all of the senses to romanticize life. With the illustrations one can actually visualize a tranquil, relaxing and romantic moments through their normal average existence.
Have already recommended this book to my friends who have been soul searching.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher Chronicle Books for my ARC copy of this book. It was an absolute breath of fresh air to read.
Everyone needs more romance in their life, and this little book explores all the ways you can focus on turning even the drabbest day and into something beautiful. It's perfect for those days when you're feeling down; just flip through and find inspiration.
The illustrations are just a beautiful as the words it contains. Every page is filled with ideas to practice from picnics to curating a wardrobe to spending an afternoon in bookstores.
Thank you so much to Netgalley and Chronicle Books for the free e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This is so cute! I love the font and all of the illustrations used. They are romantic and whimsical. I want to do all of these things, and maybe I'll try to make a checklist and keep track to complete them all!
This book has such a beautiful cover, it would make for the perfect coffee table book. But the substance is really sweet & positive. I could see gifting this book as part of a housewarming gift, or really any gift basket. I enjoyed periodically opening this book & trying to incorporate some of the ideas into my day.
LOVED LOVED LOVED! I love the watercolor pictures. The ideas. The simplicity of romanticizing life. It is about recognizing the time and effort that goes into something. Slowing down and seeing things. I am trying to do this more in my life and love the effect if has in my life. I will definitely be buying a hard copy of this!
Such a cute and cozy book. I love the picture that go with every topic. Having the topics in alphabetical order is a dream. What a wonderful book!
A wonderful idea, and I felt the author was very thoughtful in the way that they created the prompts in this book, which revolve around small luxuries, self-care, and treating yourself. The illustrations were adorable, pastel paintings.
This is such a lovely easy read about finding the little joys in life to create a joyful life. A lot of the prompts involve slowing down, incorporating the five senses, and indulging in things that make you happy. A sweet coffee table book to gift!
Thank you NetGalley and Chronicle Books for the advanced copy. All opinions are my own.
I absolutely loved this sweet, easy read! It provides not just 52 suggestions but expands on each idea with so many accessible and affordable ways to implement them. As a therapist, I am so excited for the physical book to be released so that I can have a copy in my office and suggest for my clients- it’s excellent for self-care ideas!
Add to that the beautiful illustrations and this book is an absolute winner for me!
I am grateful to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC.
If you are a perpetually stressed out millennial who loves cozy/hygge/self-care/"romanticize your everyday life!" articles and vlogs, this is the book for you! This would make a lovely coffee book or gift to a fellow stressed out teacher. None of the tips are truly groundbreaking, but simply just reading and looking at the cute illustrations makes me feel better.
This book is absolutely adorable. This would make such a cute gift to one of your girlfriends for, really, any occasion. I loved all of the different ways to romance your life, some I'd never even heard of before (such as the ambrosia time of morning).
This book is pretty darn cute. The text offers good tips on adding a little bit of dazzle into your everyday life but the aesthetic and illustrations sell it. This would be a great gift for someone who needs to practice self-care. You could pair it with some of the items mentioned in the book.
Thanks for the advance review copy.
Thank you Netgalley for the ARC! This book is perfect for any woman as it focuses on adding romance to your everyday life in tasks that you already do. It helps bring self-care to the main focus of your life. Women are often so focused on everything else, such as family, work, etc., that we forget to romance ourselves. Sometimes we need to stop and enjoy the little things we often forget.
I enjoyed this very much! What a great perspective on enjoying each and every day - even the little things.
Grabbed this book for its 52 fab ideas for adding sparkle to my life. Especially loved the soft watercolor artwork too. A must-read for anyone whose life feels blah.
Such a lovely and meaningful book, with absolutely beautiful art and wonderful prose.
One of the lines in the introduction really stood out to me: "Romance is not delusional, frivolous, or contingent on somebody else." Despite our tendencies to think making life romantic would be a luxury or something that requires a certain financial standing, the suggestions in this book, from pillow chocolates to the ambrosial hours, aren't reliant upon expensive, time-consuming, or Pinterest-perfect aesthetic rituals, but rather simple steps of self-care that are easy to bring to fruition. This would be a perfect gift for others--or yourself!--and I definitely will be implementing these suggestions into my own life, too!
This book serves as a great reminder to enjoy the small things in life and I feel like anyone could take a thing or two away from this book. I loved the imagery throughout the book; it helped divide up the sections.
Romance the Every Day by Andrea Kasprzak is perfect for anyone looking to bring more magic into their daily routine. With 52 simple ways to find romance in everyday moments, this book helps you slow down and appreciate life's beauty. It's a fantastic gift and a great reminder to savor the little things, especially when life feels overwhelming.
This book was really cute. I loved that it gave reasoning to see the beauty of little things. I definitely miss the beauty in things a lot due to stress and always being on the go. This book made me take a step back and want to treat myself. I also really loved the art in this book.
What a charming book! Taking everyday ideas, decorations and crafts and turning it into so much more meaningful.
Simple tweaks can give a whole new meaning to paintings on the wall, flowers and pictures displayed on a table. This book offers inspiration for anyone looking to add a little extra joy to their day!
This was such a cute book. It gives 52 ideas on how to romanticize your life (one of my favorite things to do!!) Think flower-picking, bubble baths, crafting, used bookstores, and farmer's markets-- with descriptions on how to make each experience more magical. The illustrations were stunning and the book overall had such a cozy, cottage-core vibe. This would make a great table book to flip through as a reference when you need inspiration.
Thank you NetGalley for this arc, in exchange for my honest review. :)
Romance the Every Day is full of gorgeous illustrations and pages with ideas on how to appreciate little moments in life. Such a beautiful reminder to treasure moments even if they happen everyday.
I received an ARC from Chronicle Books via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Alphabetically organized. Beautiful artwork. This book is encouraging the reader to find the romantic moments of a day and to pamper, splurge, and spoil oneself. I’d never thought about romancing myself, but this books makes sense. It’s full of simple ways to be sweet to yourself. After all, we deserve it! I’m not good with self-care, so this book is a good starting point.
This book was very aesthetically pleasing and gave good reminders to enjoy the simple things in life and live a little slower.
I enjoyed this book so much that I plan to buy a hardcopy when it is officially released. I have already started incorporating some of the ideas in the book into my day-to-day life. I am a firm believer in not only self-care, but in having a variety of ways to care for yourself. I like how this book provided simple but effective methods for bringing pockets of lovely joy into one's life.
The illustrations were an excellent touch and highlighted the romanticized nature of the book. I also liked how the ideas presented were simplistic enough that it invited modification if you lived in different areas than the author, or had access to different things.
I can say that I am not a romatic person but I want to try. So, this book, Romance the every day, is really helping me with ideas and inspiration for a year of little luxuries.
Just adorable! The perfect gift for yhour favorite independent woman. Romanticizing the little things in life like doing homeowrk or reading in a cafe makes life feel so much sweeter. Very well written little self-care read.
I think this is such a great book in the genre of self-care and romanticizing our lives. I especially love the A-Z approach in the suggestions. As I work with my students, and community members, I always offer weekly self-care tips, and I feel like this book is so important in today's day and age, and it offers a plethora of things to do to to help us enjoy our lives everyday.
Thanks to the author and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
A cute Pinterest-worthy pocket book with a plethora of ways to romantic your life and uplift your spirits. I enjoyed all the ideas that were simple in execution and self-explanatory and at the same time, the way the author describe them make me want to try all of them out immediately, I have even made a bucket list for the summer. The illustrations were quite simplistic and not in the way I have enjoyed, I believe this book would have benefited for going in different directions with its illustration, something more Monet or Manet like would be perfect fit for this book.
I walked into this book thinking it would be a book on how to find romance in everything, but instead it was a book that talked about how to romanticize very specific things in your life. 52 different common aspects or actions in life are discussed as to how they can be romanticized. I really like this approach, I think the specificity will make this book more accessible to people who are starting out on their journey towards romancing their lives.
This book applies quite an expansive definition to the word 'romance' and I have to say, I don't hate it! Perfect for those in love with the idea of a little self-care, Romance the Every Day is a cozy little guidebook for ways to treat yourself and put some joy in your life. They had me at "Bakeries" but I love some of the less-predictable suggestions like beautifying your closet or reading a children's picture book. I'm definitely going to make a note of some of these suggestions for those days when my day could use a little more romance!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC. All opinions are my own.
This book is beautiful, and I loved the illustrations. The idea is one that I try to live by: that each day can be beautiful and romantic if we try to make it that way. The introduction was well written, and I enjoyed reading the author's perspective on the importance of romance in daily life. The suggestions were well written, though I wished there were more of them.
I'm a firm believer in romancing every day things, so I love this! Also, the illustrations are beautiful! I will be looking into buying this to use as a coffee table book, it's so fun!!
i’m really going to be romanticizing my life to the fullest after reading this one. this book was the definition of a warm hug and gave me this immense feeling of joy while reading it! all the little ideas were so cute and had the most beautiful illustrations to go alongside it! I would share some of my favorites, but i would be copy and pasting the whole book at that point LOL!
thank you to netgalley for the arc <3
If you are looking for everyday little luxuries you will love this book. Chalked full of little ways to make ordinary life extraordinary in the most special of ways.
While there are no revolutionary offerings there are little practical things and suggestions that feel like, "oh I totally should have thought of that" nuggets in the book that allow you to think of life outside of "normal" and turn even the most mundane life task into special gifts.
Longing to recreate the slower version life that we were given during the pandemic, you might like this book.
This was such a lovely visual journey through a curated list of ways to romance the everyday. It felt like going through a curated TikTok channel full of big and small ways to fall back in love with the world in a small way every day. I loved the art style and simplicity of the book made it such an easy read. I could see it as a cute coffee table or gift book for a loved one.
A quick read to help you refocus on the little things in life. While this is a short book, it holds valuable information.
I love this so much, it’s full of beautiful watercolor type art and so many ideas on self care. I love everything self care, I love adding ideas to incorporate into my self care regime. This is great for anyone needing new ideas, feeling just burnt out on life in general. Everyone should start romanticizing their life.
To echo what other reviewers have said: This is the perfect coffee table book. I could see this in an Airbnb, the lobby for a business, etc. It would also make a great gift for a friend for their housewarming, a birthday, Galentines or any celebration.
In this book there are 52 different tips to romanticize your life. The way the ideas were presented was done well and the accompanying illustrations were beautiful. I feel like the author accomplished what they set out to do and I’d recommend this for anyone looking to elevate their everyday life.

My thanks to NetGalley and Chronicle Books for an advance review copy of this book in exchange for an honest review..
The book’s subtitle is “Inspired Ideas for a Year of Little Luxuries”. I love this idea!
Book enthusiast I may be, but I almost never pay any attention to the Table of Contents until I need to look something up. In this book, though, I paused to enjoy it (because it’s attractive) and then wondered why the segments were listed in alphabetical order. I quickly realize, of course, it’s to make it easier for us to refer back to an idea we only remember by its key element, and we can easily find it because they are listed alphabetically! I really appreciate that degree of forethought by the author.
The introduction is beautifully written, laying out the author’s thesis of romance (beauty, pleasure of the senses) in everyday life. I strongly recommend reading it in full.
The specific suggestions – bakeries, beachcombing, etc. – are artfully written and remind us to call on not only our senses, but the information we don’t see (for instance the time consuming steps in creating a croissant, that we could otherwise mindlessly devour in under a minute). There are plenty of reminders to be present in the moment, to pay attention, to practice mindfulness.
Some suggestions won’t surprise the reader (have fresh cut flowers around; walk on the beach) but some do: “closets”, for instance, was an excellent example of applying the mindset of “romance the everyday” along with a suggestion of figuring out how to accomplish it, and then some specifics to apply at home. Another interesting one to me was “play dress-up: When you change your clothes, you change your story.”
Be sure to read the final entry, Wildflowers. It has an insightful and surprising interpretation.
Attractive watercolor illustrations are liberally interspersed with the verbiage.
This book was a delightful experience all around, and has definitely helped me upgrade my everyday point of view, to look for the magical beyond the mundane. Highly recommend it to read through, randomly dip into, enjoy the watercolors – you can brighten your day and improve your viewpoint in just a few minutes.
