Description

Jack Finnegan only has to worry about dealing with school bullies, suffering through detention with his homeroom teacher, and getting noticed by the girl of his dreams... at least until an army of evil aliens invade Earth. Suddenly, this teenage slacker finds himself at the center of a galaxy-spanning conflict - where the lives of everyone on the planet are in jeopardy, soldiers use Quantum Physics to become superheroes, and the enemy uses some mysterious form of magic to make themselves practically unstoppable.

The secret to ending the conflict and saving the universe may lie in a powerful ancient spaceship, which it seems can only be flown by Earthmen. Now, Jack and a rag-tag group of allies must overcome impossible odds, defeat an unkillable enemy, rescue the princess of the galaxy, and save the universe from a threat more terrifying than any it has ever faced.

Can this underachiever rise to the occasion and become the hero Earth needs? The fate of all life in the galaxy may rest in his hands.

Advance Praise

"I. Loved. This. Book.

I loved this book like I love chocolate. The more time that passes from the last page flipped, the more my love for it grows. There are Five Star-reviewed books that certainly deserve their five stars and then there are Five Star-reviewed books that should have an addendum award that warn you of the sadness that will be felt when the book ends and your friends get stuck in the pages, their adventures (with you the reader) temporarily on hold until the next book."

"Awesome space adventure with zombies, evil aliens & a killer tornado... Earthman Jack vs the Ghost Planet by @MatthewKadish has it all!"

- Ivie Isler, Mind Ventures (http://mindventures.blogspot.com/2013/11/earthman-jack-vs-ghost-planet-earthman.html)

"With its mixture of sci-fi action and coming-of-age themes, Kadish’s novel is an intriguing candidate to fill the void that was created when J.K. Rowling penned the final novel in her popular Harry Potter series."

-April Neale, Monsters & Critics, (http://www.monstersandcritics.com/books/features/article_1718751.php/Book-spotlight-Sci-Fi-Adventure-Earthman-Jack-a-must-read-selection)

"I couldn't help imagining this book as a fantastic graphic novel or 3-D film. Co-directed by J.J Abrams, Michael Bay and Peter Jackson...(heck), I'd see it."

-Sandra Nyamu, The Review Hutch (http://thereviewhutch.blogspot.com/2014/01/earthman-jack-vs-ghost-planet-by-matt.html)

"The main characters are deep and original. The plot is unpredictable, and the twists will have you rebooting your brain, before you can keep reading. The story is loveable, and somehow believable."

-Rose W., Desert Rose Reviews (http://desertrosereviews.blogspot.com/2014/03/earthman-jack-vs-ghost-planet-review.html)

Marketing Plan

Author Matthew Kadish and publicity firm Levine Communications plan to aggressively market "Earthman Jack vs. The Ghost Planet" as the next big Young Adult fantasy adventure series, filling the void of Harry Potter. It is a science fiction fantasy adventure series aimed at 14-21 year olds, though people of all ages can (and do) enjoy it. It is the first in a planned 7-book series.

It currently has over 100 5 and 4 star reviews on Amazon.com. It has been featured in both the Macomb Daily and the Las Vegas Review Journal, along with various niche blogs. Both the New York Post and USA Today have requested review copies.

Beginning in the summer, author Matthew Kadish is scheduled to do a tour of the comic book convention circuit to promote the book. He will be appearing at the Amazing Las Vegas Comic Con, The Las Vegas Star Trek Convention, the Chicago Wizard World Convention, the New York Comic Con, and the American Library Association Convention.

We are aggressively pursuing book lovers to review the book. We have reached out to prominent YouTube "booktubers," as well as bloggers and niche websites. We will be doing a virtual book tour as well in the near future. The book has already been featured on Bookbub, and we have a number of giveaways scheduled on Goodreads to award autographed copies of the paperback as a way of generating interest there.

Author Matthew Kadish is also willing to make himself available for interviews, Q&A's, or spotlights. He's already been invited to speak about writing science fiction at the Henderson Writer's Group in Las Vegas. Please feel free to contact Shannon Donnelly at LCO or Matthew Kadish through his website. All contact information can be found in the press kit of this profile.

We have provided highlights about the book, a character synopsis, and a plot synopsis, along with promotional images with our press release. These can quickly give any busy reviewer or journalist the information they need to effectively write a review or article.

Paperback copies of the book are available upon request, in exchange for an agreement for a guaranteed review. Please direct all requests to:
